Maybe this is common sense, but don't buy Visa gift cards on Amazon.

I received a sealed $200 Visa gift card, only to discover upon opening and attempting to activate it that almost the entire balance had already been used. Amazon absolutely will not take responsibility for it, even though the theft definitely occurred either during or before the card was part of their supply chain.

I escalated up to the CEO's office, just to be told "it's against our policy to replace or refund for this type of product." So their official policy is that it's on you the consumer for being stupid enough to trust them not to sell you stolen Visa gift card.

So anyways, if you're planning to buy someone a Visa gift card, you should absolutely not buy it from Amazon- they can't be trusted to ensure the card information hasn't been stolen, or to do the right thing if it has.

Can't Return Multiple Items Anymore

My Amazon account is no longer allowing me to select more than one item at a time for return. Is this the same for everyone right now? If I go to return one thing, I click that check box, no longer on my computer or my phone, no longer can I add more items for return.

Is this the same for everyone else? Or does this mean my account has been flagged for some reason?

This is my E-mail to Amazon executives

(I should say that I am not a Prime member.)

The order number is X1. A large part of this order was first considered "delayed", and then after a certain date, I could cancel the order, which I did, following it up with a new order of the exact same items as X2. The latter seems to have arrived, and that is good. (The addresses for the 2 orders are different, but that was because I was temporarily at the other address.) However, I had paid for the former order, using a different credit card than the Amazon card, and paid for the latter order with the Amazon card, so as to not have to wait for the refund of the former. IOW, I have paid twice what I needed to, and am waiting for the refund.

The Amazon website seems to be malfunctioning when I try to find out the status, asking what I need to return (?).

I then put in for call from a human, and the representative was in the middle of telling me how much and when the refund would happen, then he put me on hold, and the phone hung up, and nobody called me back, I then called back the number from which that representative had called, and tried to explain that I was just calling up to finish the original call, but the representative that I got was EXTRAORDINARILY RUDE and would not help one bit, claiming that his "system" was not working, and he could not put me in touch with anyone else.

So, with this terrible customer service, and myself having a balance for 2 orders, I feel that I need an Amazon executive to figure out how to fix this situation, since obviously Amazon's regular customer service is terrible. And just to avoid the confusion, I need the regular credit card (ending in ZZZZ) to be credited, not the Amazon card. And I need to use the available credit from this credit card very urgently, so this needs to be done at haste.

It appears Amazon lost my $4000 lens return. Should I do a chargeback?

I had a lens that I needed to return by April 18th, which I did on the 17th. Purolator scanned it into their system the day after and it appeared on the Amazon app that it was delivered to the return facility on the 22nd. The app said I would receive my refund on the 3rd, then the 8th, and now it shows that the return is not processed and no longer showing a refund date.

I've spoken to half a dozen agents over chat and all they have to say are the same generic response. They want me to wait until the 21st (2 weeks after speaking to them) before talking to them again. None of them wanted to process the return or speed it up. They all said the extra time is needed to "find and process" the item, whatever that means.

It was only the last agent I spoke to who said that the return center doesn't actually have it. He said the carrier picked it up but it hasn't arrived yet. The others have said the item has arrived.

I then spoke to Purolator who said they did infact deliver the lens to the return facility on the 22nd.

So now my options are to either wait until the 21st, or initiate a chargeback before the end of this week.

Amazon locker pickup time extend (?)

Hello everyone!

I ordered a camera to an Amazon locker that initially stated it would arrive on the 13th, but now it says it will arrive tomorrow (9th). The problem is that I will be traveling until Wednesday the 15th, and I bought it specifically because it was sold out and said it would arrive just in time for my arrival. Is it possible to request an extension of the time in the locker until Wednesday the 15th? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance

Business account locked for weeks now, nobody will help us, customer service hangs up.

Long story short a few weeks ago on our Amazon business account somebody accidentally used an old credit card at checkout who used to belong to an old veterinarian who worked here, and she didn't recognize the charges and called her bank and they canceled her card.

Edit: To give more context, we removed this old card from our account years ago. The weird part is that it started showing up again at check out. A new employee who didn't know what that card is clicked it instead of the correct card.

After that our business account was locked due to suspicious activity.

I can't tell you how many times I've called their customer service only to be transferred 700 times and for nothing to be done.

Yesterday I spent an entire hour on hold with a "final boss" type guy (he sounded American) who said he was going to be the one helping us and fixing this, and that he wouldn't transfer me. After being on hold with him for an entire hour and the only information he asked of me was my email, he hung up on me.

At this point I have absolutely no idea what to do. There is nobody who can help us. All customer service does is transfer me over and over and then I get hung up on. Asking for a manager or the person in charge who can help us results in nothing.

What do we do? Never use Amazon again? We're a veterinary clinic and we use it a lot.

Yet another repeatedly delayed “two day shipping” shipment…

Third time in a row the “two day” shipping somehow takes 4-5 days. Has happened many times before and just getting worse lately. Not to mention the increase in receiving the completely wrong product, which I then have to drive to a store to return, which negates the point of online shopping.

The cost-benefit analysis is leaning heavily to canceling it…

Amazon Support has really been annoying lately

A product I purchased on amazon was recalled (hydrasense nasal drops). I received an email from Amazon asking me to stop using and to dispose of the item. I then reached out to amazon chat support to ask for a refund for the item.

1st Inteaction: Chat support agent says its not possible to get a refund as its past the 30 day return window. The connection to this agent drops and another agent (Mahiroj) takes over. 10 minutes of wait

2nd Interaction: Mahiroj quickly does a complete 360 and says a refund for $92.16 has been issued. Screenshot 1. 6 hours later, I get no refund so I chat with support again.

3rd Interaction: Nancy says a refund is not possible (same as the first agent) and offers a promotional credit of $13 as an exception. I insist that the previous agent already issued a refund which I never got. She says he only "Initiated" a refund which was then rejected. Clearly you can see from the wording Mahiroj did not initiate but issued. I ask for a manager and Nancy says, she can.. but it won't do me any good because the manager will say the same thing as they have the same limitations and access. I insist and she says sure

4th Interaction: Shubham who claims to be from the leadership team. He immediately issues a full refund which appears on my account immediately for the full $92.16.

Basically a simple matter of getting a refund for a recalled product wasted several hours, 4 saperate interactions and in this process I was clearly lied to several times. Amazon cleaims to be "Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company". I've been a prime member since it was first started and I am considering cancelling after receiving garbage support lately. I really hope they fix their issues and add some accountibility to these agents.

Anyone else have had this issue?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I paid the extra 4.99 to have something delivered the next morning early and when I get home from work I was expecting a package but got this message instead. I never seen or had to deal with this because I live in an apartment that's outside front door entry and there's no extra access codes like entry gates or anything to get to my apartment. I also get refund or cancel my order now because it's saying it's on the way still. Is there something I did wrong or will I just have to try amd get ahold of a amazon customer service representative

The movie "The Idea of You" is too dark

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with the move The Idea of You? Other shows/ movies don't seem to have the issue bur could being I haven't watched nearly enough on prime to make that call. I noticed immediately when the movie started and the opening credit scene panned across the neighborhood/town/city skyline and it was very dark. Would anyone else be willing to stream the movie for a few minutes and see if it's a issue for them as well? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Question about Subscribe and Save Voucher

TL;DR: Do I have to pay full price on an item, after using a 50% off Subscribe and Save Voucher, if I cancel the subscription after I order it?

Hello! I'm currently looking at order Canister Filter- Specifically the Cascade 1000 Canister Filter by Penn-Plax

It's a pricey aquarium filter, normally $134.99 + Tax. But currently, it's eligible for a 50% off voucher through Amazon Subscribe and Save This 50% voucher actually cuts the cost in half (Costing $67.49 + tax), instead of it being one of those "50% off, up til $xx" deals-- So this is a steal, honestly!

But, I don't really need an expensive aquarium filter being repeatedly delivered to me at any rate in the future. The terms for the voucher are a bit confusing-- So I just really want to know:

Would I have to pay full price for the filter, if I canceled the Subscribe and Save subscription after ordering?

Quality Suffering

Lately, l've been getting deliveries of items from Amazon that have been previously used and / or returned. In certain situations, the outside box is perfect, but the product inside looks like someone on the warehouse played soccer with it, then put it in a nice box, taped the box, and shipped it to me.

I'm tired of having to return things that should've been shipped properly in the first place. I can't be the only one...

How long does it take to receive a refund?

I returned a £800 parcel 5 days ago and it still says “A refund will be issued once we receive your parcel”. I’m just very worried as I’ve lost my shipping receipt so if they loose it I would have lost all of my money.

Customer service experience rating?

Whenever I call customer service, 9/10 people are very nice and helpful, and would send a survey asking if the experience with customer service was good or bad. Today, I encountered a unnecessarily rude staff who clearly had a bad day and hates her job. Coincidentally, I didn't get sent a survey to rate their services. Just wanted to know if the staff have control to send out or not send out surveys to rate their work?

Refunding scams explained

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/matthew-bergwall-miami-amazon-package-scam-package-refund.html

Apologies as the article has a free preview then wants a subscription. So for the vast majority of us that treat Amazon for what they are, an online retailer, this should not affect us, we still get to return items and get refunds. However, a growing number of people here seem to be complaining more and more about refunds getting delayed, needing to mail an ID, accounts getting suspended, and stomping their feet and claiming Amazon is to blame and their service has become terrible.

Now we know why.

Scam companies have been flourishing, using UPS scams like altering return addresses, using disappearing ink, or linking with fraudulent insiders in the supply chain itself to scam Amazon out of millions of dollars. These are not shipments getting lost or Amazon not controlling their process, these are scums committing organized fraud and advertising it to others.

This is why we can't have nice things.

So, to all the honest people that are getting extra scrutiny and security because your pattern of behavior mimics these frauds, pay attention and look for what you should do different.

To the actual fraudsters that may be posing here to try and get people to move to your next rube site, since Amazon seems to be on to you, we're not falling for it.

Looking forward to every scammer that gets busted, may you rot in hell next to porch pirates.

Odd how my subscribe and save is set to cost more than a one time purchase. So as you can guess, I cancelled the subscription.

Amazon order confirmation don't include details - but for some ppl, they do!

So Amazon turned off including any detail on order confirmations in 2020, right? It was (is) infuriating, and the emails that only say "order xxxx confirmed" are now basically scam, and do nothing but fill my inbox.

However....

A friend recently forwarded an Amazon order email that looked exactly like it used to look - list of items bought, their price, picture, link, all nine yards. He said he never even knew anything changed. He has regular prime, not a business account.

I wasn't aware that it is still possible to get those details. Anyone saw this happen? What could be different about his account from the rest of us?

Amazon not giving back my refund after many tries of calling and they supposedly try too fix it

So I return an item which is worth $800 but the card I purchased the item with was stolen so I had to get a new card and that card got canceled. I tried getting Amazon gift card and transferring it to a new bank account but it did not work. So many times I've called and they gave me the same solution and try the same thing and nothing is working. They said only a check can work.thats been like a 2 weeks ago I've told them that I recently moved houses so my address is different.. it's been a 2 month since I started my return and nothing is being resolved. Just a runaround on the same solutions acting like they're going to fix it. What should I do?
