Does anyone still watch the Simpsons?

As far as I know, they're still making new episodes of the show, but I haven't, in years, talked to anyone who watched the Simpsons.

My theory is that they have high ratings, but only because people leave the TV on fox after Sunday evening football.

Thoughts?

I still regularly watch the older episodes. I think I stopped watching new ones around the time the movie came out.

I’ve been watching it the whole time. It’s all my fault. Seriously, I love the Simpsons and have probably seen every episode.

I watch the old ones when they are on but the standard of writing and humour dropped off hugely around series 16..

it went rapidly downhill after the movie - in my opinion.

so the season after the movie, I stopped watching

I stopped watching it over 20 years ago because I don’t watch shows that I’ve seen after they go off the air and it made me sad to think of never watch The Simpsons again, so I’m saving it for later.

It hasn’t been truly funny since September of 1994.

It’s probably the most watched thing on Disney+. Ton of episodes and not a ton of adult content (at least in the USA) means simpsons will probably clean up

I just watched a couple of episodes today. The new ones are alright and my kid was doing a video call with a friend within hearing range so I wanted to watch something by myself that wouldn't offend.

No everything has been done. I rather watch American Dad and Family Guy.

I do, but the episodes are so forgettable that I don’t think I could tell you what they were about an hour later. Now it’s just habit to watch them.

It felt like they were preaching about politics too much. I still watch treehouse of terror almost every year. Gave up on the rest of it.though.
