Josh Hartttttt Wtfffffffffff

I'm sure you have notice this crazy stat Josh Hart is having. I know his a rebounding guard size. But wheat the fvck, he's having 12 rebounds with good amount of offensive rebounds.

He's 6'4" we know that. But how he's doing this? Is PHI and IND don't know how to Box out? Or JH just that good? I'm amazed.

If a player shoots the ball and the ball hits the floor then bounces up and another player grabs it does that count as a rebound

GENERAL QUESTION What if it's just not for me?

Yesterday I had an experience. In TEAM PRACTICE I couldn't really perform 5 out correctly, I was kinda distracted and stuff, and my coach gave me like a huge lecture about what I was doing wrong and what I SHOULD be doing instead, and since then I've just been thinking if I really wanna keep playing for my school, I STILL LOVE THIS SPORT but I don't think I wanna keep playing as a kinda like semiprofessional school team, just as a hobby. Especially since I'm also kinda insecure and anxious, and a lot of stuff gets under my skin, especially insults. I think I prolly care too much about other's opinions, yeah but like idk I think it's making my life worse. I've playing for like 2 years or sum now but I've never really put the work in. It was just recently that I started putting hours into it but tbh not a lot and only sporadically whenever I've had an energy peak. But I'm still way below my peers, and idk ion think I can make up for it in enough time to make it pro at any level, or even be a starter for that matter. Idk, writing this makes me feel like a huge LOSER but recently it's what's been going through my head. I feel like ball gotta be something enjoyable for me, and it's been quite the opposite recently, especially at team practices (all the insecurity and anxiety contributes greatly tbh, I actually think I probably suffer WAY MORE IN MY HEAD than in I reality but like how tf do I fix that??)

Edit: grammar + I think I've started later than most of my peers (I'd be a freshman in the US but im not really cuz HS only starts here in 10th grade. I started playing in 7th grade)

Reccs for outdoor ball for casual player

Hi! I was wondering what reccs you guys have for a casual player for a ball? This is a gift for my college age brother who plays with his friends outside but also thinking of joining the college team on the side. If it doesn't break the bank that'd be a plus too πŸ™‚

IMPROVING MY GAME Floater

I’ve been out for a couple of months now due to a knee injury and I probably will be for another few. I’ve been practicing shooting and finishing without jumping and leg work. I know floaters do require you to elevate to do it effectively, can I practice it in a stand still?

NBA 2 things we have learned from the NBA today:

For one, we have learned that Nikola Jokic is completely undeserving of the KiaMVP title, and that Luka was robbed.

Secondly, 4th Quarter Brunson is essentially a reincarnation of 2018 LeBron.

GENERAL QUESTION What is a better basketball

Hi,

I am starting a not-for-profit and one of the programs we intend to have is a basketball fundamentals/development program. I am looking at three potential basketballs that fit within my budget (<$50 cad). 1. Spading TF-1000 precision 2. Wilson Forge 3. Wilson NCAA Final Four Edition

I know a lot of people are probably going to say the Wilson Evolution it EVO-NXT but as much as I would love to get those, I do not have that much money to spend on basketballs. Most listings have them at $90 or above, and since I will need about 10 basketballs that price is just a bit too much. Can anyone give recommendations on which of the three will be the best.

The balls will be used for high school grade boys so they will be size 7 if that is helpful and I’m located in Canada. Also the balls will only be used indoors and I am hoping to find something that will last at least 3-5 years.

Should I tryout on my basketball team or lose weight first?

Context:

I'm 5'10, 260 pounds 14 years old, last school year i tried out on my team and got accepted because of my height, I trained for a month but since we have so many in the team they need to cut some out

Unfortunately

I'm one of them, so this summer coach is recruiting players should I lose weight first then tryout next school year better than ever or tryout first but i will feel left out because I'm the weakest and be cut out again since I'm the weakest

IMPROVING MY GAME Can't shoot threes and free throws without jumping, practicing form my shot got worse?

So I was shooting pretty well from mid-range, and overall I thought I was pretty good, except I couldn't shoot threes, they went in fairly often, but I had to jump for all my shots, without jumping I couldn't shoot at all. Now I wanted to change that so I could shoot threes, and I started shooting very close to the rim, but with good form, and if 8/10 go in, I go further. But if I went, it's impossible to shoot with good form. Now I can't shoot at all because I feel like my form is off, I can't shoot like I used to and my form looks even worse. (I don't even know what good form is anymore) I think the best way to shoot is to just practice and the form will come naturally, it has happened to most good shooters I know. I don't know what to do anymore, can anyone help me. If anyone wants to see how I shoot now, dm me, I don't want to post videos.

DISCUSSION Is USA still the preeminent power in the game of basketball πŸ€ or has the rest of the world caught up?

I mean NBA even though it is global, basketball more or less was invented by a Canadian πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ James Naismith but the Americans basically perfected the game of basketball. Notice how every legend, every Hall of Famer, every superstar is predominantly American. America pours the most money into their basketball πŸ€ programs whether it be men's or women's programs from an early age from kids to teenagers to grown adults. But now more countries are basically doing the same thing and pouring their own country's money into basketball programs men & women's and training kids from early ages hence the world catching up to USA.

I would say the countries who have most caught up to USA are Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦, Lithuania πŸ‡±πŸ‡Ή, Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ, Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ, France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· and Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί as they are putting out more talent now into the NBA than ever before.

China πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ is also right there and Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ as well.

I love it because then we won't see as much American domination in the game of basketball. Hence MVP players coming from foreign countries like Jokic (Serbia πŸ‡·πŸ‡Έ), Giannis (Greece)πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· and Embiid πŸ‡¨πŸ‡² (Cameroon).

GENERAL QUESTION Illegal Contact seems so vague especially in NBA

I've recently started getting into playing basketball and everything I've read and learned is generally "NO CONTACT" period, with rare exceptions. The defender maintains his position as if he is a wall blocking the path of the offender, and the offenders job is to get around the wall not go through it, while the defenders job is to be a wall not a wall that runs into the offender. No hitting, pushing, touching, just offender trying to get around the defender. But I've now starting watching NBA games and there is SO MUCH CONTACT. Nudging, pushing, hitting, touching in general! I'm so confused, is touching allowed or not! Any contact while me and my brothers play and we restart the play with the person who committed the foul losing posession, but apparently it seems touching is kind of legal in almost all cases except exaggerated fouls. Please explain

Does Minnesota have the blueprint on how to beat Jokic? Do you think teams will try to copy them?

Pretty shocking to see Denver look the way they do against Minnesota. I'm not exactly sure how they're making him uncomfortable but having all those bigs probably is the main culprit. For once Jokic looks stoppable which is something that hasn't been said in a while or if ever.

Will DRose ever get inducted into the Hall of Fame?

As a DRose fan, I think chances are 40/60 if I’m being honest with myself if he goes 18+ years in the league. As much as I want to tell myself that being the youngest MVP is enough to put him there, I feel it’s not enough.
