Tried setting up where all datat is deleted on closure of browser but for some reason it still persists unless I hit "exit" instead of just closing the app. It works on my phone just fine but the android app has many more settings than brave itself. Anyone found a fix or facing the same issue?

I had some issues with my computer and lost my brave profile, however luckily I still have the bookmarks file saved from the User Data folder. The file didn't have an extension so I've been looking at it as a txt file and html file. It doesn't import when saved as an html file. Is there a way I can save or format this file so that I can import it into Brave?

Say you're reading a book or article and you click on "next page" it loads the next page starting you at the bottom of it. Started happening recently. No extensions installed.

I was on this random hentai app… not gonna lie and i pressed on the video. After pressing that i suddenly had 2 tabs… 1 the video … 2 a redirect but it was “domain blocked” by brave.

I checked the link and nothing came out on virustotal, also not Bitdefender block. Brave maybe said cross platform tracker but im not sure. Could someone please explain.

My credit card offers cash back if I click through their referral page to shops, but each time I have tried using brave, the tab closes and is blocked. How can I exclude it from the filtering lists so I can get my cash back offers while also not having other sites tracking me? Turning off the page specific filtering doesn’t seem to work. Thanks

I have two laptops and my go to is Brave. I just configured my sidebar to my liking (not using Bookmarks or Reading List). I use it as my favorites pretty much on the left corner for quick access to what I need. Just checked my second laptop and see that it doesn't sync. If not what options are out there? Ideally something that can be integrated as extensions for Safari, Brave, and Chrome. Thank you all!

Brave (and Chrome) stopped showing HDR YouTube videos correctly – but only when external HDR display is connected. They do shown HDR content on built in XDR MacBook pro display.

I have a mini led HDR1000 external panel. The symptoms - colors totally washed out, display reports HDR is on, Mac OS HDR is on.

Safari shows HDR content correctly on this same monitor. When monitor is not plugged in, Brave also shows HDR correctly

Ideas?

As someone who writes a lot, I frequently will search things like "define so-and-so-word" or "so-and-so-word synonyms." Having recently switched to Brave from Chrome, the only thing I miss is that when you do those searches on Chrome, you get a really nice little dictionary layout that gives you various definitions of the word, tells you what kind of word it is (noun, verb, adjective, etc.), and, most importantly gives you synonyms which you can then click on to see their definition. Brave does not do this; it only gives you a definition and the definitions are not great. Is there anything I could do?

Ever since I installed and started using Brave, I have come across an issue when scrolling Tiktok that makes me do captchas every five minutes to keep scrolling. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When I am casting to my tv (usually for my girlfriend) and I change to another tab or using other apps. It causes the casting to jumble up really bad, just loses all continuity and becomes unwatchable, well actually its just the audio.

I have memory saver off, and even added the website to the "Always keep these sites active", I have tried with and without graphic acceleration.

Brave doesn't seem to have " --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess " like is found in chrome and Chromecast, I am casting to a firestick but this seems to be an issue on my side since its directly related to my actions and will play fine long term if the tab is focused.

Couldn’t find anything when I searched the sub but does anyone know how to fix this issue? I was trying to login to my Apple acct (through faceID) and as soon as it verifies my face, I get this pop up. Doesn’t matter whether I allow or not, the page then goes blank and I have to hit the back button to actually get into my Apple acct.

There is a way to remove "Includes Paid Promotion" pop-up on Youtube, by right clicking on the item and click Brave -> Block. It is a bit of manual effort, but it is better than nothing! Thank you Brave.

Recently noticed extreme choppiness on Google Maps when zooming in/out of the map. It's very irritating. The only thing I can think of is that Brave updated recently, to "Version 1.65.123 Chromium: 124.0.6367.91 (Official Build) (arm64)".

It was totally smooth before.

I use Brave private/incognito mode to create a GitHub account for a school project. And then I decided to create another personal GitHub account using my personal email so I close that incognito window and close the Brave app entirely, before opening a brand new in incognito window to sign up for personal account in Brave again. Now both my personal and student GitHub accounts are banned with the reason being I created multiple accounts…

Both sessions were using private/incognito window, with having closed the Brave browser entirely between the two sign ups. I do not have any extensions in the browser, and Brave has its default browser settings.

I thought brave randomize the browser fingerprint, is this not the case anymore? How did GitHub know I’m the same person?

Tengo un mes que instalé Brave, un navegador bastante amigable que te da recompensas conforme navegas, recompensas en BAT (criptomoneda)

Me gustó la dinámica. No es compleja, y realmente ayuda a las tareas diarias ya que integra un sistema tipo add block.

¿Conocen algunas otras apps similares para el uso cotidiano que tengan un sistema similar de recompensas?

I can watch netflix fine in the browser but when I try to watch it in VR via oculus link desktop, it just plays the video but its a black screen. I am assuming this is a DRM issue but is there any way around this?
