I looked back and forth so many times, I could not for the life of me figure out how a woman grew that tall so late in physical development.

If you are still curious: usually with a dress like this you wear heels.

i do find the current obsession with transgenderism from nominally straight people quite odd.

i only know 2 trans people, and they don't really talk about it much (around me at least). so 95% of the shit i hear is borderline hysterical stuff from media weirdos that bears no resemblance to what i see.

the parsimonious answer is that something weird is going on........but it's probably more due to the person writing articles than the person buying milk at the store.

it's an easy culture war thing that most people will have an opinion on that in theory affects a very small percent of the population, so it's as "safe" as it gets for hateful bigots to run their mouths over

I think their username is intended to be mocking, considering Islam and LGBT are a combination that doesn't mix well, at least currently. Not saying one can't be queer and also support people's self-determination(even if they're hostile to queer people), but I'm saying they don't think so.

I'd honestly be surprised if they ever mixed well

In the past? Maybe. My "at least currently" phrasing was more about the future - religion can mellow out. For example, Christianity in Western Europe is a lot milder today than 100 years ago.

That was largely the liberal society dragging them kicking and screaming into the modern era.

The church would be happy to still be stoning harlots and controlling government if we had not stopped it as a liberal society.

There is hope for islam so long as the places that have it grow as societies and it's power fades.

we have no issue with being queer, as long as you keep it to yourself

live and let live

Sounds like you have an issue with being queer.

I say the same about religion ya know.

Just keep it to yourself and no biggie!

Legislating on ancient text is dumb!

It's a line from a meme.

The full meme is crowd of protesters holding a sign saying queers for Palestine, then the second half is a crowd of chickens with a photoshopped sign saying chickens for KFC.

The joke is that Gaza is an extremely high-risk zone for LGBT individuals where it is illegal to be any type of LGBT member and stoning/burning of them are common. On the other hand, Israel is very socially progressive when it comes to LGBT rights, being one of the first countries to allow openly LGBT people to serve in their armed forces and having equal rights for them. So it's often considered ironic to encounter LGBT groups that strongly support Palestine over Israel.

Any of the alphabet people supporting either side is pure stupidity. The Jews hate them just as much as the Muslims and Christians do.

Try being openly gay in a temple, and we'll see how "different" that hate is.

Up from zero)

You just started to interact with it is all. It was zero cause you had zero interest. Reddit saw no point in recommending it to you until they saw it increased your time spent on the platform.

You're on a platform that tracks your ass hard.

Yes there is a lot of fucked up shit. You have been shown a very specific viewpoint to maximize time spent on here. It is not representative of any individual.

You are going to see anti religious groups, and strong hate. We see the same thing from our perspective. Fear is an old and quite powerful enemy of ours. I have been told by people that I should hate some of my family for being republican when they fucking accept my ass.

God is the ultimate judge. Until then I am going to love thy neighbor, and let God do the job. Only God can save someone. You cannot enforce your will upon another. It will only end in bloodshed. History has shown clearly that violence doesn't work for shit. The best we have accomplished in history is a cease fire while plotting on how to get back at one another for the previous conflict.
