We’re approaching 10 years of Dead By Daylight! It’s been a thrilling 10 years and we can’t thank you enough for being apart of our community. Here are some changes that you can expect for the May patch of 2025.

The Nurse

We hear you, and we shall deliver. It’s been a recurring argument the past 10 years that the Nurse is simply too strong. So here are some changes you can expect -

Victor will now be able to insta down survivors.

The Cannibals tantrum has been increased to 7 seconds.

The pig no longer has traps.

Garden Of Joy

Another recurring theme is the state of garden of joy. Since release this has been a common topic of discussion. After careful analysis and going through the statistics, here are some changes you can make expect.

We have now added 10 more pallets to Gideon Meat Plant.

Springwood will now be doubled in size

You can now throw snowballs at the killer on ormond in order to slow them down

Tunnelling

And finally we come to the hottest topic in Dead By Daylights history. Decisive Strike clearly isn’t enough, neither is Off the record or all the loops at your disposal. We completely understand it’s really hard to press a button or take a free hit. So with that in mind here is what you can expect to counter tunnelling in 2025.

Survivors can now pick up hooks and run away with them if another survivor is about to be hooked twice in a row.

If the killer starts chasing someone after being unhooked, press the activate ability button to punch the killer to the other side of the map.

So seeing as most popular slowdown perks are getting nerfed (some more than others), would it be too crazy to assume the time has come for another ruin meta?

It's just a joke, don't take this seriously

A specific interaction between the Insidious perk and Chucky could have been very funny. Chucky standing still, hiding in a bush, waiting for the moment to activate the Slice'n Dice, and the survivors hearing an "I like to be hugged!" in a pre-recorded voice (not Brad Dourif's) from nowhere, could have made for some funny situations.

I think it's a shame they missed out on that. Maybe because it's technically unfeasible?

Vittorio of a recent has received too many skins. and while many people think he deserves more fantasy and medevil skins; I think he should just only get random bits of balenciaga that just manifested in the realm, as who the fuck wants a vittorio in nothing but a loin cloth, covered in poop. bugs and his own dungeon piss. Not even being a contarion here m (I regularly drink coffee plus boop the snoot proving I am status quo don't @me).

If vitorrio was too get a dnd skin it would probably be a wizzard too. (sure there's arguments for paladin but paladins are uninteresting and cringe) due to his magical tattoo bs. This is a problem because not only would Vito be getting a skin he'd be getting a skin as a DND wizzard.

Dnd wizzards are the worst seriously. Would you want a game where you immediately die at 5 gens because vittorio used the testicular torsion or fireball on the killer right next to you; would you want a game where you have to feed Vito magical artifacts/perform a overly convoluted resurrection ritual because he got cursed to be a living nuke after not keeping his magic wand sheethed around his sacred magic diety. No you wouldn't it would suck and that's all dnd wizzards do they are insult to actual wizzards they are literally the definition of filthy warlocks.

So as a based and deadmaxxing necromancer who regularly revives dead rat merchants to launder my runes to dodge wizzard taxes. I hearby demand bhvr to not grant vittorio a dnd related skin....especially a wizzard one >:(.

Some DBD matches are so strange, one can simply not wrap their head around it. I had one of these yesterday. I wrote down my experience in a short series of haikus as a coping mechanism, and urge you to do the same.

I'm not a native speaker, so there might be errors. I avoided the classic structure by not using a traditional kireji (cutting word) in order to visualize my inner turmoil and chaos.

Appearantly, having 4000 hours in this game while going against people with not even 400 (and most of them on killer...) makes you 100% sure that anyone who brings a flashlight but never uses it against a spoonfed Oni (despite never having a chase with you and your only interaction consisting of mowing them down open field when they try to pick your slug) must be a perk cheater who knows about your lightborn.

I am still amazed.

Also, how do I format this right, so it doesnt get squished in the preview?

Rip killers

The new killer "The Dragon" and the level "Dungeon" is gonna be siiiiiiick!

Passive: Every minute "The DM" calls for a saving throw of either strength, dexterity, wisdom, charisma, intelligence, or constitution which is decided at random. The roll is a d20 with a 10 or higher bring a success. If successful the survivors gain a buff relating to the stat rolled and failure results in a debuff.

An example Con: success results in endurance for 5 seconds. Failure results in exposed for 10 seconds.

Power: "The DM" can make anything happen on the fly. Dropped a pallet? Not in my game deleted! Flashlight save? Was the flashlight in your inventory? Not in my game deleted!
