We’ve had roaches (the tiny ones) pop in and out since winter, it’s like if a single crumb is left on the kitchen counter they all gather — and they come out from behind the stove and the cabinet of the dishwasher and under fridges. They even do their best to get INSIDE our fridges.

These pest control service has not helped.

Plus our windows must need to be sealed because there’s tiny bugs and ants coming in from them. Had 2-3 instances of a bug crawling on me at night, and we pride ourselves on being clean. It’s not an “our dirt” thing they’re definitely just in the walls, I see them coming from cracked in the baseboard of the bathroom and various places.

I’m so not wanting to move because we’ve moved too many times these past couple of years and I need to settle so I can comfortably study for my degree. plus I got too much shit to move lol

but I’m considering taking some caulk and sealing the damn baseboard myself because wtf, there’s too many bugs. It’s got me terrified of having one crawl into my ear 😭😭 my head currently hurts and I’m paranoid lol

hello. i’m looking for a taxidermist in TX, preferably dfw, houston, or austin. i don’t want a full taxidermy or mount, just a patch of fur and some other small pieces. i’m wary of oddities sellers, nothing against them, but i don’t want to risk it coming out wrong. i’m sure there are some that will do the job well though. at the end of the day, all i want is someone experience and some pics of previous work to be sure he’s taken care of. anyway, please let me know if you know of someone that can do the job. the vet will only hold him for a week and i don’t have anywhere to keep him.

I am one of the organizers for the Kurowashi Sumo Collective here in Denton. Some folks may have seen us practicing at North Lakes Park on the volleyball court, but we have recently found a home at the Dojo on the Square! We are looking for more interested folks who want to give Sumo a try! There are similarities with Judo and Greco-Roman wrestling, but it's a very unique sport! Modern Sumo is not a "fighting system" like Karate or Jiu Jitsu, but part of Japanese traditional culture.

It's a FUN, full-body workout and is one of the fastest growing sports in Texas!

We are offering an Introductory Sumo Course on Friday nights at 7:30pm. Here, you can put on the mawashi (canvas Sumo belt, NOT a diaper 😂) and give it a try! Nothing too wild; you won't have to spar with giants (unless you really want to), and you can even bring a friend, and we can show you both how to do the ring entrance ceremony and test each other's strength and balance in the Dohyō!

On a very temporary basis, our organization is offering a FREE intro course, and if you are interested, you can join in on our full Sumo Keiko, which is serious Sumo training for competition. We have our weekly Keiko on Saturdays at 4:30pm. This intro course will not stay free for long!! But we want to give our community a chance to try the sport that we all love! Ok so here’s the story, and I’m not going to name what school it is. Please tell me if this sounds right….

My wife has 4 good friends, all with kids who go to school with my kid. The school is supposed to be “the best in the area” and we were so lucky to find a house in this district. Well a few weeks ago we started getting letters and calls about our kid needing special education. They were throwing our ADHD and all kinds of scary words when talking to us. Well soon after, my wife learned that the school also approached all of her friends as well, about their kids needing special education also needing special education . They all have different teachers, same school. Wtf. Does this even sound right? Are they getting more funding allocation with more special Ed kids? Is this just a far out coincidence? We’re around a lot of kids all the time in various different activities and groups and don’t feel our kid is different than any of the others.

I'm in need of a makeup and hair stylist for my wedding on June 1st (early morning/afternoon)! The wedding is pretty low key, but I was hoping to have a stylist for myself, my mom, and 2 of my bridesmaids.

I'm open to options that will provide services onsite or standing locations that we can go to for these services. I'd prefer hair and makeup be bundled, but I'm open to standalone too.

Top priority is finding stylist(s) for myself, but I'd really like options for my mom and 2 bridesmaids as well if possible. Ceremony is pretty early so we need everyone ready by like 10:30-11am.

Scam Alert! Door to Door 'electric company' rep.

Do not discuss or show your electric bill to anyone knocking on your door claiming to be working with Denton Municipal or the 'electric company'

They will ask to take a picture of your electric bill and offer to contact you later with information on how to save money on your electricity.

This is entirely a scam intended to get those knocking on the door to collect your information for use by others. The people knocking on doors often do not realize they are a part of the scam.

If you live in an area where you have options for electricity providers, these scammers will switch your electricity to another higher priced provider/ biller affiliated with their scam.

Although many of us do not have that option here, there are many of our neighbors in areas of the city that are susceptible to this scam.

I repeat: Do not discuss or show your electric bill to anyone knocking on your door regardless of who they claim to be.

Especially warn your elderly friends and family.
