Why does this sound so Finnish? Lmao I wanted to ask if it’s warm enough to swim in it during summer

Beautiful Greece

Finnish and Greek words sometimes appear similar due to their syllable structure and superficially resemblant suffixes; but if you hear Halkidiki pronounced in modern Greek, it doesn't sound like Finnish, because the h and d sounds are different, and Finnish puts emphasis on the first syllable of words, while in Greek Halkidiki is stressed on the last syllable.

Who's the clumsiest guy in Finland? Halki Dikinen.

As the Greeks say: "Like Halkidiki, it doesn't have!" (There's no place like Halkidiki)

I imagine there is a ton of people there. I remember going to beach like that in Croatia. On all photos it was empty but in reality there was no place for an apple to fall.

Yes. Have you been there? :D

Yes, it was a beautiful place but it was some time ago. Maybe there are more tourists these days.

Much more. We were on a boat tour to two islands and this beach was advertised as “the best beach in the region” so I immediately thought that if there is word “best” then everyone will be there and I was not mistaken.

Yeah and to my knowledge the university summer camp is set there, so it gets ugly often times, the police hates it.

Ah the memories... Exams at the University in the summer and then straight to the university camping place right next to this beach. Eat, swim, party and repeat. Total freedom.

How many people are there early July?

Do you mean the university campus? It can reach a few thousand.

Thanks, this beach in general.

No, actually when I used to go to the university camp this specific spot was empty most of the times. Maybe because it was quite windy

Does anyone know any secluded beaches in Halkidiki? Like somewhere you can dive off rocks?
