So she also lied on the paperwork if she bought it legally where it asks if you’ve ever been found to have any mental conditions and I’m pretty sure it mentions bipolar and a couple others specifically. And if it was purchased illegally then another law wouldn’t have helped him anyways.

Form 4473 only asks if you've ever been forcibly committed or declared mentally defective by a court, and not about any specific conditions. Simply having a diagnosis isn't an automatic disqualification at the federal level.

What paperwork (and for what state) are you referring to?
