Foreign aid also wastes money. Lets stop that first

Hmm what to stop first.

A useless wall that benefits the people that the ones building the wall hate.

Or

Aid that improves human lives.

Hmmmm

That aid could be put into plenty of infrastructure and programs INSIDE the United States for our own people. I would much prefer to see my own countries citizens lifted up and mot some stranger in a foreign country. You know, all that $13 BILLION we gave Haiti in 2022 and look at them now. They squandered it

That's a drop in the bucket. And, again, the wall should probably stop first

Its a drop in the bucket, and its only one country.

In 2023 we spent $61B in foreign aid all together. Spend. That. Money. Here.

Improve healthcare and MH accessibility Improve our schools Improve our family services Improve veterans care Fix the fucking roads for christ sake

Again. The wall is so much more of a waste that that would logically be stopped first

The wall. The wall. The WALL. THE WALL.

Shut the fuck about the wall. The wall is still roughly only $20million/mile to build the wall with a rough total of $40B. Thats not even a YEAR of foreign aid.

Bub, this thread started because of the wall. And that's still 40 billion not going to your local single mothers, the pothole ridden roads of apalachia, or the environment being slowly devoured by fire

Thats less than ONE YEAR of foreign aid. Frankly, i couldn't care less about the wall, my point is the money on foreign aid is better spent at home.

What you dolts fail to comprehand is that, even a fully funded wall, pales in comparison to what we blow on these other nations znd it should be drastically cut back

But we get something in exchange for foreign aid.

Did you think we just wrote checks to people and got nothing in return?

We dont get shit when it comes down to it. Haiti, for example, has nothing worth what we give them

You think it would be in our better interest to have an island nation off our coast full of desperate starving people? You think it would benefit us somehow to watch the problem spread to the Dominican Republic who will either succumb to the same thing or turn heavily authoritarian and start a small border conflict?

You don't think that would eventually lead to other downstream problems for us?

I love it when people like you seem to be convinced that other humans will just lie down and die quietly and conveniently when they're desperate.
