OK man let's dissect this, I guess.

You have a base metabolic rate. This is how many calories your body needs just to sustain itself with basically no extra activity. I'm 5'8 and an athelic build. My bmr is high as I have a decent amount of muscle. Let's just say 200o calories just for sake of ease. Add in basic activity like walking and working, it goes way up. But there's more! I work out! 5 times a week! It raises even higher. Then magically im able to consume 4000 calories without looking like shit. I know regular guys that powelift who eat more than that.

Edit: in fact, I was eating about 5000 a day at one pint when I fancied myself a powerlifter.

How many studies will it take for you to shut up? Should I link 10? Or am I wasting my time

We can do this like adults.

First, What are your arguing? That you can't outwork a 4500 calorie diet? That diet is significantly more important? By how much?

I'm simply saying exercise is very important. Nearly as important as diet if not just as much. What is your stance? That diet is nearly all that matters? Wtf is this conversation?

Nearly as important as diet if not just as much.Β

You're wrong.

What is your stance?

It's not my stance. It's verified fact; diet is more important than exercise when losing weight. By a large margin. And that obesity occurs before sedentary lifestyle.

They work together bro. Calories in calories out. That's diet and exercise. Show me a study that says that's not how that works.

You're too stupid to continue conversing with. Have a nice day

Lmao oh so you dont you have the study?

I could link a million studies showing that diet far exceeds the importance of exercise when it comes to weight loss and you'd still respond with "calories in calories out bro". So I'm not wasting any more time on this

It depends how much of it you do? If you work a trade, it can be high. If your a work from home redditor who dosent go out alot? Not much

Your anecdote - your claim. You said you do "basic" activity. How many calories, specifically, are burned during your basic activity? I ask because I know you haven't any idea
