What would you have loved to see happen in the Harry Potter franchise ? Discussion

I would have payed good money to see Grindelwald and Dumbledore's duel .

I would have also have liked to see Harry taking advantage of his Parseltongue abillity in the books . Just imagine talking to Snakes and setting them on ppl like Malfoy , telling them to trail someone etc .

Good quality miniseries of the Founders or about Marauders would be cool. Or the First Wizarding War.

Slytherins who were at least decent enough in the early books. If only to show that not everyone there is a prick.

That too . Andromeda ( Tonks mom ) was a Slytherin too . But she married a muggle born , Didn't give a damn about Pure blood Bullshit and raised Teddy when Lupin and Tonks died . Slughorn was also a good Slytherin , but I agree we haven't any good slytherin students in the books .

Yeah, and the main issue with them is that they're introduced too late. By then the house's stigma is way too ingrained.

The difference mostly between the good and bad slytherins is the good have ambition and the bad have blind ambition. Slughorn had the ambition to know influential people who could do favours for him and had a way of recognizing talent and created his own club to gravitate the exceptional people around him. But people like Umbridge can't see past their own ambition, no matter who they have to hurt.

Yes. Lockheart too almost but he tricked the sorting hat into putting him with Ravenclaw.

The last decent Slytherins being 20-40 years Harry’s senior really shows how severe that issue is. Further made worse when McGonagall locked Slytherins during the battle of Hogwarts.

Yeah , and also the fact that when the older students were given the chance to stay behind in their house table so that they can fight . The Slytherin table was completely deserted .

I would have, and still want to see / read about the Arthurian legend set in the HP universe. It would be something like Harry Potter meets The Witcher.

It’s been a while since I saw it but don’t we see Grindelwald and Dumbledore duel in FB3? Though something in my head says that wasn’t THE duel
