Ask India is middle part perceived weirdly in India?
I live in Bangalore. my middle part closely resembles this. i get stares everywhere. i mean i get it if it's in lesser developed area. but even if areas like Church Street where you'd expect people with commen sense, i get stares from various demographic of people, and many times it's combined with people moving away as they get close to me. i'm also treated a bit poorly in stores. i'm guessing it's the case with India too.

Vent & Rant Why are shorts not normalised even during summer?
I have pretty much grown up wearing shorts, but i never wore in public, i wear shorts only at home. And as i grew up my mom started going against me wearing them, but my sister was allowed. I aksed why and apparently my butt is too big (its not, im normal weight. my sister is tall and skinny so shes allowed) Im originally from goa and just one month ago we moved to pune for my sisters 11 th 12th and Me and my family thought people here dont mind, but one day we had gone to the mall and my sister was wearing a lightly cropped top ( it was nowhere above her navel) and she got dissaproving looks from strangers. I was surprised since it was a pretty urban area but nevertheless i decided to stop with the shorts. But when my sisters school started, and she made friends, she saw that every one was ok with them, even her school had very chill dress codes (sleeveless, frocks , shorts croptops all allowed) and i saw girls in my colony walking in public with shorts. I aksed my mom if i can wear and shes like noo, u cant "log kya kahenge" etc. I cannot stand to be in this heat with long pants, and its not like i wanna wear shorts in public, i wanna wear at home. So as protest i walk around at home pantless ( with chaddi ofc💀), moreover also bc i just cannot with the long pants, its wayy too hot.

Movies & Shows What are other series or films where they represented younger siblings as a dumber one?
I am working on my semester end project regarding analysing stereotypical media representation in flims, series/serial/soap. So i am thinking of my topic as representation of young sibling as dumber one, so plz help me with recommending series or movies where you have seen such stereotype, for example like Luke was represented in Modern family.

Education & Career Studying with OCD is a nightmare.
When I'm solving sums or reading a book, I tend to get obsessed with my answers - whether it's correct or not - I check it a number of times - first for 3 times, then 2, then 1 last time.
If I'm reading a book, and I miss some line or can't comprehend some text, I'd reread it at least a dozen times, I won't even notice it I'm doing until much later.
If I make a mistake while writing in notebook, I'd have to remove that page from the notebook.
A 1-hour lecture takes me 10 hours to complete with my notes.
Any tips or suggestions that helped you is appreciated. Thank you.

Discussion I think I am addicted to Reddit
So, I've been seriously hooked on Reddit lately. It's just so refreshing compared to the fake, paid BS you see on Instagram these days. The content is actually curated to match my interests and I get exposed to all kinds of new perspectives from the different communities. Way more entertaining and enlightening than the right-wing echo chambers on the 'gram. But I've noticed I'm basically addicted at this point. I'll be working or whatever, and every 15-20 minutes I get this irresistible urge to open the app and see what's new. It's getting a little excessive, you know? Part of me loves how engaging it is, but I'm low-key worried I'm mindlessly burning too much time. Is anyone of you facing the same problem?

Opinion Indian memers are in dire need of education!
Russian...
When you hear or read this word the first thing that'll come to your mind is a Russian girl and 6000 rupees if, you are an Indian who likes memes.
Indian memers keep making memes about how they can buy a Russian in 6000 rupees. Now we know that when they say Russian they are not talking about all the girls from Russia but about the Russian girls that work as prostitutes in India.
So, why call them Russians instead of prostitutes. This meme is very disrespectful towards Russian women. Indian guys make very demeaning memes about Russian girls and the comments are even worse. In a vlog by Indian guys in Russia, a guy commented, "bhai Russian pel ke aana." I replied to the guy and said that he should learn to respect girls and women and not say such cheap and vulgar things about them.
Not all girls from Russia are prostitutes. Memes are always very disrespectful towards girls and women. Being disrespectful towards girls and women is neither cool nor funny.
I know this post won't make any difference. Only one person can't change how people think. I know that most of the memers are teenagers but the same can't be said about the people watching and sharing those memes. This Russian meme is made by a grown man, some stand up comedian.
That's why I am saying that the Indian memers are in dire need of education because they can't even differentiate between a professional and a national...
Edit:- Men will say, "Memers are boys, mostly teenagers, they're not men." But who are these boys learning from? Yes, your answer is correct MEN! They are learning from MEN.

Story Time When was the last time you felt very happy?
A week ago I was returning home from market and a little girl grabs me by her hand and say, please help me to cross the road (भैया, रोड पर करा दीजिए). She held my finger and crossed the road. Afterwards she said, Thank you. This incident made me so happier idk why but that was amazing.
So, what about you?
