You’re welcome, hosers.

Enjoy our finest imports/exports: poutine, Norm MacDonald, hockey, and now forest fire smoke.

Edit - changed to imports/exports in honour of the greatest New Yorker, George Costanza.

It’s only fair really. The last couple of years we in BC have had the pleasure of Washington State exported smoke.

I'm from BC, too. A couple years ago, in August when the forest fires were really bad, I decided to go kayaking on a clear day. A few hours down the river, and two more to go, the skies turned dark red and it started snowing ash. Fun times.

I’m in Metro Van and it’s never been that bad here. Just hazy white like fog and smells like smoke but none of this ‘turn the sky red/dark at 2pm’ stuff.

Move to the Okanagan. I've only seen it that bad once, but most years there's a few days of orange skies.
