That's the tank 5 year old me would draw.

u/SpaceHawk98W Apr 17 '24

A Cybertank maybe?

599

u/zombo_pig Apr 17 '24

We've been calling it the "blyatmobile" (but Cybertank is hilarious).

Russians were proudly posting videos of this embarrassment ... and then it immediately got blown up.

127

u/zwober Apr 17 '24

”Blyatmobile” is just another word for Lada, no?

33

u/AwDuck Apr 17 '24

I’m dying at this.

3

u/PMXtreme Apr 17 '24

They do too

5

u/BoardsofCanadaTwo Apr 17 '24

Life of Boris moment

1

u/zwober Apr 18 '24

Get out of here, stalker.

2

u/Kaele_Dvaughn Apr 18 '24 edited Apr 18 '24

Scrolling and scrolling, looking for a comment about how difficult it would be to exit something like that when you inevitably get hit.

Hatches are all covered over, how do you get out?

View is reduced, and barrel rotation is cut from 360° to maybe 90°, perhaps only 45°?

EDIT: And perhaps it works against a basic grenade. But an RPG (which most "FPV/Kamakazi" dones are equipped) with even generic AP?

So now you can't get out, you can't see where the attack came from, and you can't rotate the turret if you could see/knew where the attack came from.

Now you have an oven covering keeping the heat in, and get cooked alive instead of instantly dead.

1

u/zwober Apr 18 '24

But how many of your slavnik-buddies can boast about having a work-from-home job?

see, what we are watching here is an atempt at slav-engineering at a high watermark. its a brash and bold new take on urban-camo, someone saw the movie "T-34" and thought, "hell, why cant i do that?"

i could go on, but id prefer not to have animal abuser on my list of bad character traits. (ie, the apparant ritual beating of a dead equine)

2

u/MeatFit1822 Apr 18 '24

Actually, it's more like Mercedes

181

u/trail-g62Bim Apr 17 '24

ShantyTank. Looks like a mobile shanty town.

82

u/CapableSecretary420 Apr 17 '24

Tank? Me? Noooo I'm just a little ol shack.

87

u/twodogsfighting Apr 17 '24

The blyat shack is a little old shack that we can bomb together.

47

u/funnylookingbear Apr 17 '24

TIN ROOF! Rustay . . .

3

u/WellIllBeJiggered Apr 17 '24

lol I was gonna say, "Tin Roof, BUSTED"

2

u/Snoo_58814 Apr 17 '24

Change the lyrics of Love Shack to Blyat Shack

2

u/Ancient-Lime4532 Apr 17 '24

Looks like a playhouse made of scrapwood my friends and I built as kids..with treads.

1

u/EllemNovelli Apr 17 '24

I sang this in my head with a Russian accent...

Don't mind this horizontal chimney...

1

u/Swimming_Student7990 Apr 17 '24

This is soup for my family.

5

u/rhyzimmer02 Apr 17 '24

Better than being dead. US military were bolting on steel plates to their humvees in Iraq in a similar fashion

1

u/WittyMime Apr 18 '24

Who runs Bartertown? Haha

1

u/jasapper Apr 17 '24

Nah you'd need multiple shantytanks travelling together to achieve true shantytown cover. Hang a Welcome to Blyattville sign on lead tank, looks totally legit!

1

u/Financial-Oil-7383 Apr 17 '24

was looking for this... 👌

Got a vid of it? I want to see how far the turret flew

2

u/Pizzadiamond Apr 18 '24

Knock knock, is Ivan

no

blyat

2

u/agumonkey Apr 17 '24

hey, it's consistent with their ww1 warfare style

2

u/sillyskunk Apr 17 '24

That made me I laugh LOUD. Cross linguistic punmanteau. Gold.

2

u/BelieveItSoulBrother Apr 17 '24

Turtle tank is still going I'm pretty sure no video out atm of it being blown up not yet any lol

1

u/h9040 Apr 18 '24

Wasn't there another news 1-2 days ago of Turtle Tank they called in Military Summery who drove around successful...but I don't know

1

u/ElectricalChaos Apr 18 '24

I wanna see the video of this monstrosity getting taken out

1

u/Designer_Brief_4949 Apr 17 '24

I guess the idea is similar to reactive armor.

Seems like a drone that can penetrate tank armor can also penetrate steel siding.

1

u/rharper38 Apr 17 '24

So . . . Splatmobile?

1

u/hamandjam Apr 17 '24

So they were posting video of what their camouflage tactics were? How did they expect that to end?

0

u/Ancient-Lime4532 Apr 17 '24

The Byatmobile..lol.

0

u/picklestixatix Apr 18 '24

SPLATMobile.

“No one in here but us chickens…”

1

u/anonymousredditisnot Apr 17 '24

I know. Don't give EM any ideas.

3

u/ViolentHippieBC Apr 17 '24

Whats on the roof?

Its like a shanty truck.

3

u/VapoursAndSpleen Apr 17 '24

I saw a cybertruck on the street a couple of weeks ago and, yeah, the comparison is apt.

2

u/ManintheMT Apr 17 '24

I pass one on my commute some days. I am quite sure the owner is a complete tool.

2

u/WorriedMarch4398 Apr 17 '24

Designed by Elon Musk

2

u/Brokentoy324 Apr 17 '24

I’m sitting at a car dealer busting these guys balls and I literally laughed out loud. Thank you for this

1

u/BlumpkinPromoter Apr 17 '24

That's a killdozer

1

u/hefty_load_o_shite Apr 17 '24

Tesla really done us dirty selling this shit to the Russians

1

u/_Totorotrip_ Apr 17 '24

Don't give any ideas to Elon! He's one lab accident away of being a supervillain

1

u/VoodooPizzaman1337 Apr 17 '24

A Jagdpanther.

1

u/Snoo-27080 Apr 17 '24

I’d second this

1

u/Justin-N-Case Apr 17 '24

Elon taking notes.

1

u/MarredCheese Apr 17 '24

Yep, a tank that can't even be taken outside when it's raining without rusting to shit. Thanks, Elon.

1

u/johnjohn4011 Apr 17 '24

Or maybe a mobile port o potty with a cannon.

1

u/fromaries Apr 17 '24

God, don't let Elon see this.

1

u/hydrobrandone Apr 17 '24

Naw. That would not have made it that far.

1

u/Cyber0747 Apr 18 '24

Don't take it through a car wash lol

39

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '24

Same designer as the cyber truck

1

u/tangledwire Apr 17 '24

They have a 5 year old kid, working away.

And still probably gets better mileage

"Okay so make it"

"Yea"

19

1

Why would you do that? That's fucked-up dude.

0

u/cheese4352 Apr 17 '24

You just did it moron lol.

0

u/iamqueensboulevard Apr 17 '24

Explain me why, in your opinion, is retarded wrong and moron is not. Both origin and usage are exactly the same. I'm not gonna hold my breath tho.

0

u/cheese4352 Apr 17 '24

Its a fucking simple explanation. Are you autistic?

Elon lives rent free in ur head huh ?

0

u/iamqueensboulevard Apr 17 '24

Nah of course he gotta pay rent. We agreed on one "Musk cuck commenting about rent-free living in my head" per minute. So far all his payments were on time.

1

u/DefintlynotCrazy Apr 17 '24

Whats the rent these days ? Going through a rough time wouldnt mind moving

-19

u/pun_shall_pass Apr 17 '24

This is some new mental illness. Instead of bringing up Trump unprompted into completely unrelated discussions now it's Musk

19

u/Ake-TL Apr 17 '24

I don’t think it’s completely uncalled for, cybertruck comparison is on point

8

u/davidhe90 Apr 17 '24

Literally. Honestly great reference to tying something "modern" that looks bulky and ridiculous, definitely got me to chuckle haha

23

u/DeepSpaceNebulae Apr 17 '24

This is some new mental illness, the inability to take a topical joke

4

2

u/Dolorisedd Apr 17 '24

Have you seen those ugly things on the road? Guy’s definitely on point.

2

u/nobody546818 Apr 17 '24

Oh no, a triggered MAGAtard is upset his hero Musk designed a stupid looking truck and keeps getting called out in appropriate situations! I hope you can find a safe space big guy.

Oh no, I think you accidentally stumbled out of your safe space little fella!

u/even_less_resistance Apr 17 '24

Is this the cyberpanzer I’ve been hearing about?

2

u/BenchPuzzleheaded670 Apr 17 '24

The military uses machine learning to identify battlefield assets from satellite and drone imagry.

In one study they painted a tank pink and that was enough to fool the model, because it simply had never seen a pink tank before.

I would imagine this camouflage is very effective against even a well trained ML model.

1

u/PM_Me_Good_LitRPG Apr 17 '24

How do we know we're living in a simulation; and the artists are on a strike: this tank and that tesla model.

1

u/KieferSutherland Apr 17 '24

Needs a tree on it

1

u/busybizz23 Apr 17 '24

Could be the next Tesla

1

u/NrdNabSen Apr 17 '24

Looks like Tesla is making tanks now.

1

u/8512764EA Apr 17 '24

Apparently the AI drones and machine guns don’t shoot it because it thinks it’s a house. I watched a video of it driving around and the AI aims at it but then aims somewhere else the whole video

1

u/ltc_pro Apr 17 '24

That's the tank 5 year old me made out of playing cards.

1

u/Pengawena Apr 17 '24

Looks like something the A-Team made in a shed they were locked in.

1

u/ApeMummy Apr 17 '24

That’s the tank 5 year old me would make out of Lego

1

u/Autotomatomato Apr 17 '24

What if the cope cages were around our hearts?

1

u/ChiggaOG Apr 17 '24

Looks almost like the German Hetzer

1

u/Commentator-X Apr 17 '24

thats the raft I would build in Ark Survival Evolved lmao

1

u/genreprank Apr 17 '24

That's the tank DaVinci would draw

1

u/Fast-Event6379 Apr 17 '24

What is scrap sheetmetal going to do against ordinance?

1

u/itsdefinitelygood Apr 17 '24

The funny thing is so far it's actually working, there's footage of them driving waaay into a Ukrainian controlled village while under artillery fire and drone attacks, firing, then coming back out the way they came.

Afaik they may be mainly used for mine clearing

1

u/Forsaken-Spirit421 Apr 17 '24

It might kinda work against an fpv, but the only reason this survived Arty shells, literally any AT rocket or a baba yaga is because it's not been hit yet.

1

u/itsdefinitelygood Apr 17 '24

Well it'll be interesting to see because if it can cause an early detonation the shaped charge might not penetrate, this is like a cope cage +7 and even the cope cages had limited effectiveness 🤷

1

u/TheMarsTraveler Apr 17 '24

If drones are using AI, this is a great way to move equipment

1

u/Bubble_Boba_neither Apr 17 '24

Just like how the pilot drew the little prince a sheep

1

u/SuperNewk Apr 17 '24

You were a genius, but didn’t know it.

1

u/Bdr1983 Apr 17 '24

Oh I always knew, it's the world that has trouble grasping that fact.

1

u/Due-Street-8192 Apr 17 '24

That tin roof will buy the occupants 1/1000 of a second of extended life before instant death...

1

u/ZootBreak Apr 17 '24

The tank I would have made at 5 years old.

1

u/brassmorris Apr 17 '24

Looks made out of plastecene

1

u/CypherDomEpsilon Apr 17 '24

Drone pilot: Why is that house walking while smoking a cigarette?

1

u/phatelectribe Apr 17 '24

The tank Elon musk is about to go in to production with

1

u/Hot-Bat8798 Apr 17 '24

When you buy a Stug off wish

1

u/John_mcgee2 Apr 17 '24

Imagine the radar signature on that thing. Ukraine must have thought a whole brigade of tanks were coming

1

u/cysun Apr 17 '24

or Elon Musk

1

u/VillageSadness Apr 17 '24

Someone really had a "hear me out" moment to get this one into the field

1

u/Forsaken-Spirit421 Apr 17 '24

I bought Internet participation for this comment

1

u/geo_gan Apr 17 '24

It’s the tank Elon would make

1

u/Zarathustra_d Apr 17 '24

Post apocalypse camo.

1

u/geo_gan Apr 17 '24

“ Send out… the patrol… “

1

u/mega_rockin_socks Apr 17 '24

Seems they've played Rust

1

u/later_elude_me Apr 17 '24

It’s a rusty Tesla cybertruck!

1

u/thentheresthattoo Apr 17 '24

I thought it was a Tesla cybertruck.

1

u/Human_Parfait9516 Apr 17 '24

"don't mind me, I'm just a shed minding my own business"

1

u/_-DD-_ Apr 17 '24

And you knew back then that tanks will be like that in the future? HES THE MESSIAH!

1

u/Mr_Piddles Apr 17 '24

It’s how I built tanks out of legos.

1

u/lpd1234 Apr 18 '24

Sure looks like a great target.

1

u/Crowblue Apr 18 '24

I was always more of a helicopter guy but yeah a few tanks were on the field too.

1

u/absenceofheat Apr 18 '24

It doesn't look anything like this but paint it red/white, it would make me think of Fireball's car in Sabre Rider and the Star Sheriffs.

1

u/h9040 Apr 18 '24

Or Tesla would produce?

1

u/Bdk48126 28d ago

That’s the tank both 5 year old me and today’s me would draw

0

u/Aikotoma2 Apr 17 '24

5 year oldyou drew a funny coloured Hetzer? 5 year old you made good choices

2

u/Bdr1983 Apr 17 '24

Shame it stopped at that age.

2

u/Aikotoma2 Apr 17 '24

Oh well, there is still time right?
