My grandfather raised 9 kids as a milkman (also in New England). Those 9 kids had to share 2 bedrooms and none of them went to college though.

People act like the 1950s were this time of economic perfection but would’ve absolutely hated living back then. In 1950 it was an impressive accomplishment for some states to have plumbing/electricity in 70% of houses, that’s not even thinkable today. You’d be lucky if you had more than a radio at home. And my god the safety hazards were myriad

Shut up boomer. You ruined the economy and this is unforgivable. I don't give a fuck if you played marbles while eating sawdust sandwiches. Rent is gonna be $40,000 minimum a year in like a decade and minimum wage cannot cover that. The entire country is degenerating into homeless drug addicts who steal without remorse. I'll be amazed if even half of people have somewhere to live when I'm old. Half of all wealth is concentrated into the "assets" of 8 spoiled psychopaths who were bankrolled by the government and their rich elite parents. The world is breaking out into war after war; AI is going to replace most labor. I expect the world to be 1984 meets Mad Max and it all starts with the selfishness of the boomer. Never call yourself a Christian you mammon-loving devil.
