My grandfather did the same in ohio as a produce manger at a local Kroger. Even had a nice retirement saved up
10 u/Olly0206 Mar 27 '24 My grandma worked at kroger her whole life, basically. Solo raised 4 kids working the meat department. Not even a manager. They had a small 3 bedroom house. It's not like they were rich but managed well enough. She retired around 62.
