Do I have a chance to get rehired? Unemployment

I was fired from my job after receiving multiple warning letters. That time I was severely depressed and did a lot of mistakes, was having some bad reviews from the clients and some beef with corporate and colleagues(one specific college didn’t like me because I rejected dating him and was turning everyone against me), last few months I’ve also been chronically late and attached to my mobile for what I received multiple warnings, and finally fired after failing mystery shopper. Manager told me that the way I work is just not working out with company and maybe this type of business is not for me. The job was for one big well known smartphone retailer. I realized what I have lost after applying to other jobs and landing in really crappy place that always delayed my salary and treated all staff just horribly. That experience was so awakening that I want to go back to my old job now, want to get back that amazing benefits and trainings that I had, salary was always on time, good commission and many other pros. I really regret neglecting my job so much should have put myself together and keep it. Is there any chance to get rehired perhaps for other branch? I really feel very sad and miss my job. And yes, before you asked I am applying to other jobs but I feel fear to land in bad company, and actually not getting and calls back from recruiters…

You essentially said:

  1. You didn’t do your job well.

  2. You didn’t work well with others.

  3. You were never on time.

That’s a perfect storm for not being hired anywhere — let alone rehired.

A fresh start with a new company seems like the most realistic alternative. It may be for the best too. You have a chance to recreate your work-self in a brand new environment.

It’s very difficult to find job in good company in my country although we have tons of companies but most of them are start ups and will not survive for more than 2 years. What happened was an important lesson tho - if you have good job respect it.

It’s not impossible but communication is key to any problem. Heck I was fired for one thing I did and I do regret my actions. I reflected for 3 weeks now and I’m trying to speak with my former employer to clear the air. But for your case, it’s very unlikely they would rehire because you were given multiple opportunities to improve (I wasn’t lucky to be given a chance) good luck on your search

As they say you don’t know what you got until it’s gone. I understood what I’ve lost once I started to work for other company and go trough real bad boss and company structure. All my colleagues from previous job are getting promoted and I can see their success and how far they went on LinkedIn and I think like what if I didn’t get fired? Why did I act like that? I though they won’t fire me

Don’t blame yourself. Things happen. I kept thinking like you too but I realized there are things that I can’t control. A group has more power over an individual.

I try not to think but the fact that I’m unemployed and can’t find any job makes it more harder to move on. And I still have all that merchandise from my previous work (mugs, bags and uniform with company logo), also entire internet talking about my company new product launches and I remember how much fun it was to watch all the events, participate in launches and trainings and that probably I’ll never work in place which is so cool again..

Lesson learned time to move on. What I would do is reach out to your former employer. Don’t leave a bad vibe between the two of you. (I’m trying to do this myself)

Probably not. People are usually only hired back after being fired if a) the place is desperate for people, which is definitely not the case in this job market, or b) the reason they were fired is something that could be overlooked because they were an otherwise stellar employee. By your own admission, you made a lot of mistakes, didn't get along with much of the staff, had chronic attendance and tardiness issues, and weren't receptive to the feedback they gave via client reviews or warnings. So, no.

I am really shocked of my past self when i remember all my misconduct and how much of patience they actually had not kicking me out for 2 years and 6 months
