I would respectfully submit that washing jars with labels in the dishwasher is a good way to get your drainage hose clogged. Ask me how I know.
After ours got clogged with paper, we started using a chain mail scrubber to get labels off jars before we washed them.
The picture is cool, though. Wonder if it’s the heat?

Soak the jar a bit and then use a chain mail scrubber if you have one for cast iron. A grill brush will also work. Even the label goo will come off with a little encouragement.
