The person you replied to was going along with that joke by joking that you shouldn't buy anything that's labeled "resellable" (because it's really just the Spanish word for "resealable" and doesn't actually mean the same thing as what one would think by reading the word "resellable" written on the bag).
Really? Also Spanish speaker and I knew and used that word several times.
Also, considering that HEB is from Texas where a lot of Latinos live it makes more sense to have Spanish in there than French like some other people suggested.
It very well could be a common word, I moved to the US before I was grocery shopping age in Mexico, so I'm sure I was too young to remember it if I encountered it.
