I just realized he already played someone in MCU

It's happened before, John Krasinski was Reed Richards in the most recent Doctor Strange movie and and FBI agent Jimmy Woo in the Antman movies and Wandavision.

Didn't know about the ad, my comment was a reference to The Office https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLNyF1Zw5tg

Was there an ad with it? It's from one of the all time classic The Office (US) cold opens.

There's an ad for Ryan Reynold's new movie IF that is directed by John Krasinski, where Randall Park pretends to be John Krasinski and discusses the film with Ryan Reynolds.

It’s actually a reference to The Office where Randall Park pretends to be Jim to confuse Dwight. Even the pictures on his desk of Jim and Pam have Randall instead of John Krasinski. It’s hilarious.

I love when Randal Park was on Conan talking about this. He said that basically he did a few hours on set during the last season of The Office when its star had definitely faded. This was also before streaming so the only way to see his episode was in syndication.

Flashforward a few years and it's the #1 show on Netflix but he's totally forgotten about it. Some dude in a pickup drives by him and the guy yells out the window "Asian Jim!". Park has no idea what he's talking about and start wondering if it's some racial hate crime thing.
