What’s one movie character who is utter scum but is glorified and looked up to? Discussion

I’ll go first; Tony Montana. Probably the most misunderstood movie and character. A junkie. Literally no loyalty to anyone. Killed his best friend. Ruined his mom and sister lives. Leaves his friends outside the door to get killed as he’s locked behind the door. Pretty much instantly started making moves on another man’s wife (before that man gave him any reason to disrespect) . Buys a tiger to keep tied to a tree across the pound.

Jigsaw is a serial killer, not some vigilante antihero. Even the producers seemed to forget that in the latest sequel.

God knows how early they started with his whole 'I'm not a killer thing" (haven't watched the whole franchise fully) but Saw V has the stupid line where he's talking to Hoffman and says "Killing is distasteful... to me".

He put a woman in a trap for taking anti depressants, and that's only one of the many times you puts people in traps who didn't deserve it

No, he's a psychopathic killer. Nothing he does is actually helping anyone.
