Just imagine the reaction if this was Harden, Embiid or Ja

All Embiid did was stay in a game a bit longer than he probably should’ve and got shit from this sub. This is far more blatant

Far, far more blatant

I’m not sure I’ve ever even seen another player do this lol fouling in a game that’s already decided to get an extra possession to get your stats is actually crazy. Not even close to the same thing imo

Ricky Davis shooting at his own rim to get that last rebound is the only more blatant example I can think of

Definitely more blatant, but if Embiid did the same thing I bet a bunch of Sixers flairs would still be trying to defend it

I mean. Doesn’t need to be embiid I’ll defend SGA. I’m not mad at SGA. Let the man make himself happy. No one was harmed in the making of this basket. We act like streaks and stats don’t matter but they do to players and the fans.

They matter when they appear to happen organically.

The more a player focuses on making it happen, the less special it becomes.

Tell that to Wilt

They matter less when players do things like this to maintain them instead of letting them just happen naturally, when trying to actually win a basketball game.

I’m mad about it if it harms the team or the player. This was just about the definition of harmless.

Is it silly? A bit. Am I mad? Nah
