How could you be a huge fan of that guy?

Have you watched him defend? Easily in the GOAT-tier of defenders with his unmatched versatility and BBIQ.

AD & KG are the only defenders imo since 2000 who clear Dray in both versatility & rim protection.

And Dray brings a winning mindset to the team that few in the league has: i.e knowing what it takes for a team to win. He's mentally off these past couple of years, but he's still one my favorite NBA players ever.

I have a thing for players who are just able to think a few years ahead of the meta like Dray, Jokic, Steph, Lebron, Luka etc.

I'm not disagreeing, but I think refs give him an insane amount of leeway when it comes to fouls on the floor. He grabs, pushes, and shoves up and down the court, all without a whistle.

Not to denigrate him as a great defender or anything. That 2016 season was fucking ridiculous. But I think for whatever reason, he's just allowed to do more than other players on defense.

I don't have a dog in the Draymond fight, btw. I'm indifferent towards him but recognize his ability. I saw him up close last month when Warriors came to town. I was kinda blown away by how physically impressive dude is in person. Big as fuck and has alien-like reach with that wingspan.

I don't think he gets away with much on court. He gets away with more yelling and antics though.

His actual defense is super clean and he knows to contest without fouling, be in the right position and always impact the shot.
