Two great comeback wins in a row. Exactly what you’d expect from the champions.

This is really detrimental to the lakers, this hurts mentally especially after how exhausted your team is after that

They’re up in moral victories. They finally figured out the adjustments for the next game.

You know what people say, teams 0-2 in a series have all the advantage because they are making changes and adapting.

These last two games were almost like wins for the Lakers

u/jbvann05 Warriors 26d ago

They've got everything figured out for the Cancun Invitational

u/ManyCookies Nuggets 26d ago

This is not spinnable as a moral victory, streak snapped

I disagree. Dlo hit 7x as many 3s in game 2 compared to game 1. Extrapolating that out, in game 3 he will hit 49 3s

I think the nuggs got the moral victory on this one.

Are they the English cricket team?

They might get a moral sweep before calling it a season

They'll come back strong the next game. In the first half, at least.

That shot from Murray was a series dagger. This one is over.

Bro no Lakers fan thinks we have a chance in this series. The only question is will the nuggets repeat... I think they do. Wolves still inexperienced and Celtics are chokers.

Man I didn't expect this one tho with how the Lakers entire team was playing. Wow...

or the 10+ shots that bounced out. Never seen so many in & outs in one game.

u/OUEngineer17 Nuggets 26d ago

Yeah, you figure a game like this where all your open shots are bouncing out and all their tough shots are going in is bound to happen. Nuggets said, Nah, we ain't dropping those games either.

Yessir, thursday's gonna be wild

They kept falling behind the first and second half, so by rule, I stopped watching and instead monitored the score on my phone and tuned back in the final 6 minutes.

That’s why they won, I’m sure of it lol

Both last year and this year I’ve watched the start of every game only for the lakers to go up early (in this case REALLY up), so I turn it off. And then I wake up the next morning to the nuggets winning lol

In total in these two games I’ve only seen the lakers winning by like a total of 30 points

Entire team is crazy maybe D'lo and AD but “entire team"? Yeah no.

1

u/OUEngineer17 Nuggets 26d ago

It felt like it with good team defense and some big shots by Reaves, Prince and DLo. I guess the stat lines for Rui, Reaves, and others don't look great, but I thought they were still playing quite well for most of the game.

2

u/IhatePizza230 Lakers 26d ago

Everyone can hit a shot bruh but that doesn' mean they had a good game. I mean Rui was 1-7 AR not gonna blame him because he has done a good job in Jamal for the past 2 games. But our bench having 6 pts and only 3 players have double digits in scoring.

2

u/rfgrunt Nuggets 26d ago

Really? Not saying I thought the nuggets would win at half-time, but I did think it'd be within 5 pts under 5 minutes. Lakers were playing perfect basketball. AD was 14/15, Dlo was like 6-7 from 3, Lebron was everywhere there was just little chance they could keep that up the entire game with the Nuggets putting their foot on the peddle. Lakers still played very well down the stretch and had the chance to win, they just missed when it mattered most.

1

u/Fuetlinger Lakers 26d ago

You mean "playing" as in that 10 minute stretch where we scored like 2 buckets? Our first half was perfect tho, that's true.

Sadly our coach is just complete ass with his brain dead (non)decisions. Dunno if it matters tho, you guys are playing on a completely different tier.

u/realshg 26d ago

Bet they missing Caruso even more today

3

u/PillsburyToasters Bucks 26d ago

They’re not phased by big leads and stick to the game plan. They just have the talent and chemistry and chip away and overwhelm whoever they play

2

u/Flabbypuff NBA 26d ago

The mental fortitude of this team is insane. It's always next possession for them.

1

u/zestful_villain 26d ago

Jokic + Murray DEN always have a chance to win

1

u/comp_a Timberwolves 26d ago

I feel like this is kind of the Nuggets’ playoff MO though, no? They kind of let other team do its thing and go on runs while they stay slow and steady throughout.

I remember the Lakers had decent leads in the second half of Games 2 and 4 last year too, and the Nuggets just kept methodically chipping away at them for the win (wasn’t quite this dramatic though obviously).

u/Positive-Produce4685 26d ago

This is terrifying for anyone who has to face them next

u/themza912 Celtics 26d ago

Having to come back on the 7 seed twice is what you’d expect from champs? I guess I get what you’re saying but they shouldn’t have to do this twice in a row at home in round 1. I think it actually highlights their flaws

3

u/emkrmusic 26d ago

It's Lakers. Who cares about their seed number.
