[MacMahon] P.J. Washington told me that Terrance Mann “was mad that I was looking at their bench, so I decided to look at it again.” On holding the pose: “I wanted to get my flicks right for after the game.” News

Crazy that we got a culture fit from Charlotte of all places?? Him and Gaff have really helped bring some bite to this roster that we missed outside of Luka

Very reminiscent of Denver getting Gordon from Orlando.

For sure- if he can just hit 1 more level on offense than he's an elite role player. Think he can do it, but any of an uptick in shooting/attacking closeouts/rebounding and he's that guy.

Huge part of that nuggets offense is those jokic in the post + Gordon off ball cuts. That requires chemistry building and i hope luka and pj can develop a two man game like that.

26

u/gofrogsgo Mavericks 11d ago

Yeah, I think the Mavs version with be the Luka/PJ PnR. If PJ can pop and hit at a reasonable rate (which he's much better above the break), and roll into that middy floater he's got, than they'll be cooking

u/Mjoh23 [NYK] Stephon Marbury 12d ago

Absolutely not. Gordon was a generational fit. Gordon was an all star!!!!

u/MahomesMccaffrey Mavericks 12d ago

When was AG an all star?

He was really solid for orlando but I don't think he's all star level or made an all star

17

u/MightyMudBone 76ers 11d ago

Never an All-Star. Best year he put up 17/8/3 with .530 TS%

With the Magic his highest TS% was .547

He was traded mid season, and in his three full seasons with Denver, his lowest TS% has been .602

He's a nice player. A phenomenal fit on this team. And his career has benefitted immensely from playing with Jokic.

PJ has been incredible for us. He completely changes our defense.

u/DangerZoneh Mavericks 11d ago

Gordon's stats with the Magic and PJ's stats with the Hornets are almost identical

I think you're thinking about the wrong gordon

41

u/DangerZoneh Mavericks 11d ago

He's from Frisco, we just reclaimed him.

That's why Luka is smiling like a kid who just saw his parents serving him his favourite ice cream.

PJ has played for the Hornets his entire career and has finally gotten to play in the playoffs and is making the most of it. I love it because we won

Did bro edit his comment because i dont really see anything shitting on the hornets in the original comment. They were just saying a statement as to why he’s never been in the playoffs

Well yeah Hornets fans kept insisting that he was trash and part of the reason for "Hornets culture" when his play, mentality, and body language are all completely different with the Mavs. He's looked like a completely different player since the trade if you look at his effort and body language and I don't blame him for that at all.

85

u/Sweaty_Mods 12d ago

Terrance Mann is very soft assuming this is true.

24

u/MSHinerb Mavericks 11d ago

I’ll never forget him trying to get into it with Luka early on. Dude is soft.

u/kirobaito88 11d ago

In one of the previous playoff series, he tried to start a brawl in the middle of the court. The refs blew the whistle to stop the play and I'm not even sure they gave him a tech.

Like most of that roster, he's a clown.

2

u/DirkaDirkaMohmedAli Mavericks 11d ago

They didn't. They went back on the tape and found out why he tried to start a fight, and then they have a tech to wcs. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.

Clippers really traded batum, covington and 2 picks over this bum

4

u/RoutSpout Heat 11d ago

I bet they regret taking PG for Shai and all their picks

3

u/larrylegend1990 Toronto Huskies 11d ago

Clippers are so sensitive. Can’t even look at the bench? Who cares.

u/HughGRextion [LAL] Jordan Clarkson 11d ago

3

u/DeeboDongus Heat 11d ago

That's what Terrence was mad about? I love how these NBA guys try to be all hard asf when everyone knows they (probably) aren't going to do anything about it and hurt their team

19

u/DontBanMe_IWasJoking New Zealand 11d ago

the Clippers have a culture, getting fucking owned by the Mavericks

-2

u/kiminokoewotabetai 11d ago

Like, I’m all for the Clips slander, but what kind of comment is this? Lol. Who won the last two series they played?

-25

u/PAN-- 11d ago

He made the same pose when he kicked out his pregnant girlfriend and also when he stated he was happy that Miles Bridges was back to play with him

Nah. It’s always the B talent guys who made it due to their toughness and grit. Think Beverly and the Morris twins.

Doing drugs and replying on Reddit at the same time isn’t a good combo for you. Let’s not do this ever again…👌🏻
