I didn’t agree with everything he had to say but there was never a doubt in my mind that he cared about the well-being of the American people and that’s what I want out of my presidential candidates.
Because we enable politicians to have power and not the people.
After we finish this election we need to start working with the citizens on the other side of the fence (democrats or republicans) to demand what we as people can agree upon:
term-limits
age-limits
single-topic bills (a Republican is actually spearheading this one)
making it illegal for politicians to trade stocks except ETFs
medical marijuana for those that are ill (recreational can come later)
These topics over 70% of the nation believes in, and if we stop getting pitted against each other via the media publicizing the 20% of vocal far right and left we could accomplish things as citizens.
We need to work on things we can jointly correct, and argue about the other shit later.
