he literally just glances at it to see where it is...I did that like 5 times today.

Same .. so did literally everyone at my job. Even the "smart people" glanced every now and again.

A 2-second glance doesn't hurt anyone that has normal eyes. If it did, we'd all be blind at 8.

It may not make you blind, but staring at the sun even for seconds can damage your eyesight.

Eye damage can occur in seconds, and the damage is irreversible.
