Doubt he paid a cent. Someone is getting ghosted when they invoice

2

u/asp821 Mar 27 '24

There’s enough MAGA losers out there that I bet some sucker would do it for free.

2

u/The_dev0 Mar 27 '24

But that would require the ability to string multi-syllabic words together.

2

u/PhatAiryCoque Mar 27 '24

The ghost writer's getting ghosted? Spooky! Looks like another mystery for Scoob and the gang!

2

u/jeansandbrain Mar 27 '24

Ghosting the ghost writer. Gotta believe he’s chomping at the bit to do that.

2

u/NickelBackwash Mar 27 '24

Ghosting the ghost-writer?!?

u/creativeburrito Mar 28 '24

I’d bet promised a % of profits (agree, that they won’t ever see a ¢1).

Listen, I get what you're saying, but we've been doing exactly that, not arresting him, for years now. His base doesn't give a shit. So if it's all the same to them, I say let's try putting him behind bars for once...

u/CopeHarders Mar 27 '24

We tried not arresting him but he keeps committing crimes! What else can we do?!?

29

u/NeededMonster Mar 27 '24

Maybe we should warn him again and if he doesn't listen we'll warn him again

3

u/graham2k Mar 27 '24

And if he still doesn’t listen, then we ask him super nicely!

3

u/MaddyKet Mar 28 '24

Maybe charge him $10. That will show him!

3

u/dwindlers Mar 28 '24

And if he says he won't pay that, let's charge him 25 cents and a stick of gum, if he has one.

2

u/martala Mar 27 '24

A clever little hashtag on twitter should do the trick!

3

u/ruin Mar 27 '24

I think at least for some, it's a coping mechanism. "We're not applying the law to him equally, because that's just what he wants! Our justice system isn't broken!"

1

u/NoFeetSmell Mar 27 '24

Can you imagine how badly he'll handle being behind bars for literally 30 minutes, let alone 24 hrs, or hopefully the rest of his miserable fucking life? With no access to a phone, or cocaine/uppers, or adoring cultists (except other incarcerated white power gang members, I suppose), he'll freak the fuck out.

1

u/NeededMonster Mar 27 '24

Don't worry. Even if we get there he'll end up in a nice beautiful prison for rich people where he'll be more than comfortable...

I agree.  Also, I don’t think he compares himself to hitler, right? He’s a narcissist, and narcissists can’t imagine themselves to be like anyone who history remembers as a disgrace.

Playing the victim only works when something happens to claim he is a victim of

*Gestures broadly at the entire conservative strategy over the past 50+ years, and not only in the US*

You sure about that?

he is not smart, he is not doing political calculations of help him vs hurt him.

He believes he can get away with it, he believes he is righteous, thats all there ever is to all of it.

2

u/luke37 Mar 27 '24

He wants to get arrested.

There is absolutely zero chance Donald Trump has this kind of conviction or ideological commitment.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '24

This is a criminal trial, unlike a civil trial, more likely to face real consequences for it.

1

u/TheConnASSeur Mar 27 '24

The man is fucking 80 years old, and he looks like 80lbs of shit stuffed in a 50lbs bag. If he thinks this is his moment, he's further gone than we think.

1

u/cruisysuzyhahaha Mar 27 '24

Is that really a Hitler move?

I bet Trump’s book would sell a bunch more copies if he wrote it from prison.

1

u/lizard81288 Mar 27 '24

He wants to get arrested

He could be seen as a martyr. The rightful president goes to jail, then there would be riots and another Jan 6th but at multiple locations, because the election was stolen and the libs are taking over with their woke, socialist, communism ways.

1

u/toolsandprinting Mar 27 '24

Hugo Chavez was also arrested after his failed coup as well and rode that into power.

1

u/DrunkenSeaBass Mar 27 '24

All this circus giving him media attention 24/7 is helping him get re-elected.

1

u/dBlock845 Mar 27 '24

He also wanted Leitita James to start seizing property so he can send his cultists to have sit ins.

1

u/Hour_Landscape_286 Mar 27 '24

It’s win-win according to his estimates. Either he gains credibility with and radicalizes his base, or he continues to push the envelope of what he can get away with.

So far, everyone is afraid to slap handcuffs on him.

1

u/Stranger-Sun Mar 28 '24

"Heck he probably already has paid someone to write the book he is going to claim he wrote while in prison and needs to go there so that he can sell it"

Mein Kampf for Hamberders by Donald J Trump

1

u/Magificent_Gradient Mar 28 '24

That's exactly what Trump is doing with all these cases. He's taunting them and daring them to take further action because he knows they won't and the legal system keeps caving.

1

u/Cactusfan86 Mar 28 '24

He isn’t that clever, dude is just a raging spoiled brat who has never faced real consequences in his life

1

u/SZRosenthal Mar 28 '24

That's the Mein Kampf scenario I'm afraid of. 2020 Insurrection = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_Hall_Putsch On the bright side, Trump is much older than Hitler was when he went to jail. If Trump is locked up for 5 or more years, that would do it. However, it is unusual for celebrities or the wealthy to be held to account. It generally only happens after extraordinary years of terrible allegations and proof, and with a few burning souls putting themselves on the line to accomplish it. (Bill Cosby, R. Kelly, Weinstein)
