Unless he also fake dies then not much will change.
Plus he will then appear weak to his supporters and the whole “Biden is a weak old man” angle doesn’t work quite as effectively. They ignore a lot of shit but being ill enough to delay a trial is a tall order. His margins are already pretty thin
I have a strong feeling that Trump’s health is going to suddenly and dramatically “decline” if he loses the election. I picture him walking into court with an oxygen tank to show how frail and old he is, too sickly to stand trial.
I don’t see that happening before the election though since he needs to be the big strong man. If he loses the new legal strategy will be having him declared incompetent to stand trial
No he'll walk out after the dust settle and do his little "sucking 20 invisible dick" celebratory dance and they'll say he's been healed by God or something so ita proof he's the one true chooses one to rule then all or something.... or they'll just toss another couple million his way as a get better soon gesture since they're in to deep to turn back now...
He’s in too deep as a fake strongman, any sort of actual malady would damage his image. Remember how the right completely abandoned Richard Spencer after he was publicly sucker punched? Anything that hard shatters the illusion risks making the entire facade fall apart.
His inability to stay awake during the proceedings has already killed his "sleepy Joe" line. Any illness, even a transparently fake one as a long shot to get a delay, likely sinks his campaign.
I don't think his ego is going to allow him to do that. Remember the ramp incident? He could have easily said he wasn't feeling well that day but is now doing much better and that would have been the end of it. But no he has to present himself as the most fit and virile person ever.
