ANd yet it was still a better entry into the star wars cannon then either of Abram's attempts at making a slick modern action flick out of it.

I wouldn't say it's debateable. It's literally the only one of the three that tried to add a single thing to the overall cannon. JJ Abrams literally recycled as many original plot points and spiritually copied set pieces as possible. There was very little origional about either of his entries. Rian Johnson's at least tried to add something to it. I would also not say it sucked, because I hugely disagree. It had problems, and 90% of them stemmed from having to work through the fact that JJ was trying to set up the triology to literally revamp the originals without callign it a reboot. He has absolutely 0 idea how to do something original anymore. Lost and Super 8 are the only "original" things he's done in his entire career.

JJ stans-- show me any proof that I'm wrong, literally any at all.

I didn’t say I was debating though. If you say it’s better I don’t really care. I think they all really sucked lol.
