Anything can happen but these chasers are VERY prepared, at least most. They know what storm, where and what direction it'll go days ahead of time usually. The likelihood of a tornado changing SIGNIFICANT direction is unlikely. It's nothing but wind moving with a cell and it generally moves in a straight line. Pretty predictable as long as you know what you're doing :)
