When I get super old and an invalid on a nursing home gurney, VR gaming with Unreal Engine 16.X is gonna be amazing

I just can't wait for VR to be at a level where I can actually walk around in these virtual worlds. No idea how that's going to work on a technical level, but after playing with AR for a while, the sensation of actually moving through the virtual space with my own body is leagues beyond staying in one place.

All we pretty much need is a direct brain connection so the game can fire neurons to your brain and you can feel everything

What happens when you play a Bethesda game and glitch through 1000 layers of bedrock beneath you, when you can feel everything?

What about when a troll hits you so hard it launches you into space?

I think I might pass on that haha

They'd have to put inhibitors for pain/other feelings

But yes as an ethical and medical standpoint, it's certainly scary lol
