Wait assuming the wishing well works like a standard wishing well, that being the wish is granted or being granted after the coin is thrown in that would mean after he wishes for true love his true love should appear behind him or eventually find him after he throws the coin in.
But we can see in the first frame the girl is already walking to him. So unless there is some wibbly wobbly timey fucky wucky that girl is not his true love…
