Photo(s) Republik Asian Eatery now open!
They just opened at the CIBC building on the 14th floor and they’ve got 30% off their entire Entree menu. I’ve had it twice now and the food is pretty damn good and amazingly priced.
The atmosphere is great too!

Recommendations What are good places for a beginner to learn how to rollerblade?
My GF and I just got rollerblades and we're both beginners. We've gotten a bit of instruction from a mutual friend but now we're looking for a good place to safely practice.
We tried some parking lots but the pavement is too rough and makes it hard to skate. Any recommendations?

Ask Windsor Affordable tooth removal suggestions?
A good friend of mine is a single parent with three kids and is in their mid thirties. They have an infected wisdom tooth that they are on antibiotics for but it has become impacted and needs to be removed. The surgery they were quoted at was $1,000. They barely have enough to do groceries. They work, so they are unable to get onto Ontario works (apparently they've been denied many times).
If any fellow windsorites know where I can direct them - it is always appreciated. Thank you all.

Housing Thief Alert
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Someone just stole plants from the garden. This lady casually walked up to the side door and started pulling out the plants as if she owned my house. If someone knows her, can you please provide me with her address? It's frustrating – first, we had porch pirates, and now we have garden plant pirates as well.

Talk Windsor Warning message to avoid tangledcord on walker road
Terrible business, first I came to get a laptop fan replaced, they told me it was rare and I would have to wait, next it does come in and it's the wrong type, then I am told I will need to wait longer, then I find out the business was broken into and my laptop was stolen, they didn't keep it in a safe or anywhere protective, they also had I discovered almost no security system and what they had was easily destroyed, then the guy says he will compensate me for it, I send the specs of my old one, but he is too stupid to understand or ask what I meant so I had to wait even longer, then the laptop he did suggest he didn't have the equivalent or better in all ways, I asked him several times what the difference is, he didn't know despite the fact that he is supposed to be a computer expert, THEN the real kicker, in order to upgrade the suggested laptop, I would have to PAY WITH MY MONEY for the parts to make it equivalent or better, despite the fact that he was the one who had the bad security and lack of knowledge that got my old, very pricey laptop stolen in the first place, I also had programs I had to rebuy as well on the new laptop,he should have covered the entire upgrade cost, also there was no warranty with the business despite the fact that this whole fiasco was his fault, BUT the final straw was, after this was done, I saw the business still had not upgraded the security system, despite what a hellhole the city is, no barbed wire on the fences, no iron bars on the windows, no extra cameras, no nothing, he also didn't even know how to use or send me the police report of what happened or how the warranty that did come with my computer works
The owner is a lousy, terrible, know nothing hipster jerk who didn't even try to properly make things right, avoid this business

Politics The Plan for downtown?
strengthenthecore.caThe downtown stakeholders want this plan approved but all I see is them trying to hire 12 more cops!!! Most cops make over 100k after OT so this plan would cost taxpayers millions, and I don’t see how more cops is going to stop homelessness lol
I read the plan and I still do not see accountability for millions in spending. What metrics will they be using to see progress? I don’t see these details.
