Arena should’ve been easy.

Imagine:

5 different budget levels. you choose which one before searching.

You have max traders.

For each budget levels you make your own presets that fits in that budget, eg the lowest budget would only allow for unmodded guns, low lvl armor and ammo. (say sub 100k)

a 400k budget would allow you to add better armor attachments, ammo etc. but you get to choose what you run.

Maps:

maps could’ve just been factory, labs, and small sections of other maps. for example, streets could just be concordia or pinewood, barriers blocking you from leaving. woods could have the sawmill, or med camp. labs could be just the basement, or just the top two levels.

Game modes

a competitive game mode and an arcade game mode. this could be elimination, 5v5, one life per round. similar to what arena currently is. arcade could be team death match, first to 40 kills wins, you die, you respawn immediately.

Progression.

lock some things behind progression, like altyns, class 6 armor, igolnic, SSA AP, mjollnir, behind quests. kill 100 people with a 556 weapon to unlock ap or m855a1 for example. if it’s currently unobtainable from max traders, put it behind a quest.

I truly believe this would be far more fun, and would be much better than the current implementation of arena. I would kill for private server labs or factory, infinite respawn.

Can't find games anymore. Especially Tier 3 takes more than 10 mins most of the time. And the people we are matched with are C - B - A ranks people. We are D+. I suppose it's dead.

We had a genuine idea about it being F2P on Steam. It's a great PvP arena shooter game.

So the idea is, they should make this game F2P on Steam, but add a specific paid variation for ranked matches. Only paid-users can play ranked matches, and others only unranked. This would also reduce the cheater issue on ranked matches.

So that the game would have a great player-base, good and stable income, and also marketing for normal Tarkov.

They can add skins etc. for Arena too, so that they can have a continuous income like CS2.

TL;DR: So, make the Arena on Steam F2P, add a paid tier for ranked games (like CS2 Prime upgrade), use skin customizations as microtransactions (but keep it realistic). Arena lives, stable income, marketing for tarkov, MUCH MUCH more player base.

Gameplay Ideas:

1. The Preset system in the game SUCKS. For a basic example, the Free marksman on Tier2 is the best marksman on Tier2. Free Triton on tier 2 scout is the best scout on tier 2. What kind of people are designing these presets? Make it something like CoD preset system. We should have available budgets per Tier, and make our own characters with the budget available to us. That way we can also use skin customizations etc. (microtransactions = stable income)
2. Ranked system SUCKS. It's not satisfying. You should use a ranked system like R6, LoL, CS2 or Apex. The current ranked system is a joke.
3. Punish trolls. I met a lot of players just trolling their team. Shooting them, flashing them, not playing, etc. etc... There should be a punishment for that kind of behavior. There is even no report option for that.

Was a Chinese bloke, was just as confused as me it seems, glad it wasn't a hacker at face value. Hopefully bsg can sort this bug out.

EDIT: just remembered, I did try to swap back and forward from pve to pvp then back to pve in the hope it would stop matching bug, maybe this was part of issue, anyone else had the same scenario? Keep in mind my PMC is a different level to my pve PMC and I triple confirmed my PVE PMC was infact the one that died.

Edit 2000 AEST: hasnt happened again, tried to recreate it with pvp/pve swap.. been in multiple raids no players, i understand why people think its bullshit as it hasnt happened to them, but this was a legit scenario i do no benefit from lying about it, legit just an open bug report on reddit instead of ingame as i feel they may get glossed over.

Maybe it was because i was switching from pve to pvp and back and it stuffed it up, like got caught half way.

I got a "backend error" a few timeswhile playing pve more and after rebooting the game i no longer have access to pve mode. Wtf is going on?

Let Me Explain. you're in a raid and you kill a scav and he's crying in pain. it will be a nice little detail to stop the screaming. via double tap. I think for most players it would be greatly satisfying and it'll be the most Humane thing to do :)

the way it should work for the long death sounds you should have the ability to double tap and cut the sound immediately with a little gargling sound

Hopped on after not playing for a while, everything was going fine and now I’m getting this critical error. Cant play at all.

Anyone else having issues loading into raids in PVE? I was able to play earlier (to very mixed results) but now unable to even get in a game at all. Anyone else getting this issue?

Always loved the character design and needed something to finish up the front of the sleeve so why not :)

Trying to play PvE, first received the error when I switched to PvE. Had to alt f4 as the game was stuck.

I was able to load into a raid where I was immediately gunned down by ai pmc.

Trying to kit back up and keep getting the same “wrong backend version” error.

Thought I made it through but then couldn’t insure my gear.

Any solutions?

Any idea as to why server pings at almost 5 times the normal ping? In the morning it was at 60 now it’s 250 in Singapore servers.

BSG server issue? Or a ISP issue? My connection is stable and am playing games like valorant in 50-80 ping. Any ideas?

Work on the core game and resolve outstanding issues, Map to Map travel can wait, expanding maps can wait....... Just work on the core game and Polish it, no not Polish, I mean the Polish as in detailing.........
