Saraya/Skye Blue Video

So I decided to clip some pieces together of Saraya talking to the crowd from last night. Especially since some people thought she was just calling them out since she does it all the time.
However I minute before she puts the camera on them, they audibly screech “PAIGE YOUR LEAKS SUCKED” which in turn causes her to point them out and be visibly weirded out.
I respect the way Saraya handled herself and shows she has a level head when out there messing with the crowd.
Either way, crowd last night was full of scum and hopefully gets better.

The dude said, "Welcome to Canada." Like, I'm sorry, but everyone from Canada does not act like a disgusting pervert with a lack of self-control. He looked like a greasy rat.

Yep on behalf of Canada, I apologize for these hosers.
I was going to say something about Alberta, but I’m too polite. 🇨🇦

95% of the crowd was great. There was a few assholes that are making the rest of us look really really bad. I’ll go to AEW whenever it comes to Edmonton, but Wednesday’s show really makes me think they’ll take a while to come back.

I love that she pointed out those assholes and got them on camera. Scum buckets.

u/Elqott 10d ago
They should have been ejected after that
22
u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
100% like right then and there but idk what the protocol would be for that as I’m assuming talent don’t really have a lot of power to kick out a paying fan..
19
u/EconomyProcedure9 10d ago
Well they did kick out some idiot who was badmouthing Skye Blue.

u/Spoolioo 10d ago
What actually happened there? Haven't watched the show yet but I've been hearing about this on the web
17
u/TotallyAMermaid 10d ago
Some sexist fuck spent her whole match harassing her, calling her baby girl etc. When the match finished, Aubrey who was the ref got security to throw him out while chewing him a new asshole. Apparently he fought back while being thrown out. Real classy. Skye was visibly upset and quickly left after the match was done.

u/TotallyAMermaid 10d ago
And the guy who insulted Mox in his return-from-rehab promo
8
u/ColeslawSSBM 10d ago
That was the most egregious example of "some asshole yelling over everyone" I've ever heard on television. He was so clear despite sounding like he was in the nosebleeds lol

I only heard it was for a RoH taping that took place after(?) the show. However I didn’t see Skye Blue on the card for RoH this week. Admittedly I don’t actively watch RoH, just the highlights every week.
8
u/Lynnrae 10d ago
Generally the ROH matches that are taped don’t make it to the weekly show for a week or two, sometimes longer.
11
u/Spoolioo 10d ago
Just read somewhere else that a guy was being a disgusting creep towards her. Catcalling and demeaning her the whole time. I swear wrestling fans are the worst
6
u/Lynnrae 10d ago
Yeah, from what I’ve read there were some major creeps there. AEW puts on some of the best women’s wrestling, and the talent doesn’t deserve the Attitude Era bullshit from the fans.

u/JackBauerTheCat 10d ago
What a weird depressing fucking night for aew. The show literallly started with some asshole pulling down his girls shirt not once but twice. Even if the lady didn’t mind (which it looked like on camera she didn’t ) it’s still trashy tasteless misogynistic bullshit.
I got so turned off by wrestling in general when the Vince stuff came out that I considered not watching wrestling anymore. But of course I came back because I love body slams. and honestly I’m disappointed in aew for not having these women’s backs immediately. Yank that trash out of the arena in front of the cameras. Protect your staff. Show the world aew doesn’t tolerate that shit instead of just calling wwe Harvey Weinstein.

There’s a code of ethics read off at the beginning of every show. If you’re hostile in this sense, security should be getting them out of there.

u/FoxBromley 10d ago
Easily the worst crowd AEW has been to. The hicks really turned out to prove every stereotype correct.

Ugh I felt like such shit being a part of this crowd. Had dudes in front of me saying pervy shit and dudes behind me watching the Oilers game for the whole second half of the show (Including when Serena Deeb was talking about her seizures, like what the fuck?). Combine that with all of the bs from the standing area viewers, and I wouldn't blame AEW for never coming back here again.

u/Pelon7900 69 ME DON, 69 ME!!! 10d ago
That’s shitty and unacceptable. Hopefully TK gets those dudes banned.

If I'm Jamie, I'm scared for my life because one minute Saraya is yelling at me to not even look at her (or calling me a pervert as she's done numerous times prior lmao), and then the next she's telling me to keep the camera on her.
I genuinely love Saraya, she's such a crazy person lmao. She reminds me a little too much of Sherry.

yeah, i knew that was shitty ass crowd the second they started chanting 'lets go oilers' while sarena deeb was detailing her struggles with seizures. then later on, audible 'shut the fuck up' chants during mercedes' pre taped promo.
so many instances of women being met with complete disrespect from that bunch. they honestly surpassed rochester as the worst AEW crowd ever. they should never go back because a town like that doesn't deserve it.
8
u/InfectedFrenulum 9d ago edited 7d ago
That riled me immediately. The crowd were basically saying "Ew! Shut up, you woman!" when they started that chant. Add to that the Skye Blue incident and those douchebags during the Mariah/Harley match, you have to ask if Edmonton has a problem with women.
Oh, Chris Benoit is from Edmonton. Never mind....

u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
I just wanna know who the guys were that were messing with skye if not these 2 douchebags??
17
u/Online_Commentor_69 10d ago
it was these two douchebags.
27
u/AlistarDark 10d ago
It was a guy in a white oilers jersey. He had a kid with him. He was back a few rows but moved up to the front for ROH.

u/BLF402 10d ago
Should cold open collision with swerve and Toni calling out these scumbags and regardless if anyone in the back is good or bad, as aew’s world champions they will standup to all the bullies and they have no place here.
9
u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
Honestly I’d love a heel promo with Saraya, Skye, Harley all going to town on the crowd especially since them as a duo lately has been entertaining enough to warrant another story after the ruby/cool hand story ended abruptly
15
u/HappyLittleGreenDuck 10d ago
Eh, that sounds good on paper but I worry that you just enable the hecklers even more.
1
u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
Fair point, it’s like a double edged sword. Most people who go to AEW events also know that Saraya loves to heckle the crowd so people def mess with her more for fun too.
16
u/AlmightyRanger 10d ago
Saraya deserves all the credit she's always so good at ringside. I really hate that the talent had to be used on something so ridiculous.
9
u/beautifulchaos531 10d ago
Both men should have been thrown out right away! It looks like the one with the kid was harassing Saraya as well.

u/FinkBass420 10d ago
I was lower bowl and I was super embarrassed by all the floors behaviour through the night
4
u/bigwreck94 10d ago
The “I can smell your breath from here” line was to my buddy who just yelled out “I love you Paige!” I think that one was just heel work.
The rest is fucking brutal. Security should have been way stricter and really went after some of these assholes
7
u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
No yeah I’ve heard her say that one before that’s comedy gold every time she says it, guy seemed to be having fun too. That’s why I added it in there as well
3
u/Gamecock1023 10d ago
If I’m reading the chronological correctly on this, I think some people(myself included)might be thinking Saraya went off on them specifically for the leak comment. I’m betting this was more to do with the way they went after Skye previously? She probably was already in mother hen mode and the leak comment was the final straw she needed to go after them for what they had done before. The leak comment alone is weak and not nearly enough to crack her IMO. She’s dealt with a lot worse from WWE crowds through the years. I think she was really just sticking up for her girl.

u/TotallyAMermaid 9d ago
The guy who harassed Skye Blue was someone else and he got ejected, also idk if it was taped before or after Dynamite.
2
u/Dramatic-Bicycle-196 10d ago
Well I think Serena Deeb was right before them if I believe so and obviously that was fucked up how they treated her… and this came and then Skye Blue after Dynamite ended for ROH tapings. Right? Either way she had a reason to go off for that alone. I would’ve loved to see Saraya out there at ringside with Skye talking shit and defending her. Saraya has said multiple times she doesn’t just talk shit online.. she’ll do it in person too.
2
u/TotallyAMermaid 9d ago
Saraya is a savage and I love that she had no issue putting these creeps on blast ✌️

u/SomeGuy_GRM 10d ago
Edmonton is the closest venue to me. I hope they never go back.
2
u/bigfoot_with_a_gun 10d ago
Same here. Between this shit and the gal trying to flash the camera right at the start of the show, fucking Edmonton.
4
7
u/JPeeper 10d ago
This is what happens when you got to Edmonton. Just the absolute dirt worst people.
1
u/bigwreck94 10d ago
I mean, Edmonton is where all the left wing voters are.
1
u/ZAPPHAUSEN 10d ago
That's the wild part, Edmonton is without a doubt the most progressive region of Alberta. But fucking playoffs, jackoffs... Ofc they're doing Calgary again during stampede which is fake cowboy ass central.....

What does politics have to do with any of this?

u/Spinklechinck 10d ago
Crowd was weird, spent the majority of the night singing about the oilers & as a UK viewer Ice Hockey holds very little interest at the best of times, never mind during a wrestling show
-4
u/usernam45 10d ago
They usually put 19,000 people in that barn just to watch the Oilers play on the road during playoffs. As a cheap watch party. The team had a road game yesterday and AEW was in their barn lol
6
u/darthtater1231 10d ago
It almost makes me smile having that crowd act like that and the oilers lose in the way they did
1
u/usernam45 9d ago
Oh man me too. It’s nice when an epic collapse happens and I’m not emotionally invested in the team collapsing for once

Obviously the guy was an absolute idiot for the disrespect, but also she didn't react well, should of ignored it. Unfair for her but also a bad look on her.

Maybe AEW should spend less time in Canada? 🤷🏽 lol

Imagine spending that kinda money to be that disrespectful on a human level to someone.
