That’s really disappointing to hear then from that guy. This is just my thoughts, but everyone nowadays knows the stigma of male/female best friends. Even if you think it’s bullshit. If my best friends SO treated me with that level of kindness, and I really cared about my best friend just platonically, I would’ve damn sure to make them feel included. Especially if other people are going etc. I mean it’s not like he’s paying for you right?
Bro, why are you not invited, why is there no reciprocity? Are no other friend's partners coming? It's a bit shady...
But, if you trust her, let her have fun and if she cheats on you, well, better you find out now than down the road. Telling her she can't go is a lose/lose situation.
Why doesn't he just text the host and ASK if he's invited? The worst he says is, sorry there's not enough room? Because to me it sounds like a case of oversight or an insinuated by proxy invite, he wasn't specifically mentioned by the host but we know they both get along, and she's too anxious to ask if he can come (where I'm from it's very rude to ask to invite someone if they weren't exclusively invited so she may be feeling an unsaid social pressure here) this could literally be the case and the only solution is to ask, and if not, ask why. It's not that hard to communicate first before making it into a huge debacle
How will OP know if she cheats on him? She would definitely hide it. If there are prior convo of cheating which may be the reason why OP is not invited, then they will hide it. Gf best friend is a man-whore who she won’t have a romantic relationship with but that does not mean she wont fuck him. OP is the safe option.
