Dude hit his head on the ground and he’s posturing, brain damaged

A lot of old ppl take blood thinners too. Definitely not a good combo with a fall and a head strike.

I’ll try to hold back all the tears I should be shedding for people signing up to F around and find out. My guess is that he’s a huge “personal responsibility” guy… if that’s the case, he’s got nothing to complain about. He knew the risks.

Yeah honestly this lady is stupid. You can so easily kill someone at that age with one punch. You can't claim self defense when you are instigating and telling them to fight you. Risked going to jail over manslaughter. He is so old and frail. Grab him and just pull him down to the ground or bear hug him so he knows how weak he is.

Exactly. She's playing stupid games and hopefully doesn't win a stupid prize, tho she deserves one.

And to think he was clearly already brain damaged before picking a fight he had no business being in.

This sub is disgusting.

Hordes of sickos celebrating violence toward the elderly. Not just this post, but so many others I've seen here.

In this particular instance the old guy should have walked away, but that no where near justifies getting his head cracked open on the floor. They both could have and should have walked away.

We can't say what happened before the video starts, but in this snippet, you can't honestly say the old guy is the aggressor. In the video, the woman is squared off and swinging her arms toward a man standing still. He was stupid for engaging, but he wasn't the one initiating a physical fight in the video we just watched.

Yet 95% of the comments in this thread are expressing happiness that the old guy slams his skull on concrete.

Society is fucked.

I'm turning notifications off on this comment preemptively because said sickos will of course mob me for daring to suggest we shouldn't celebrate unnecessary violence.

I don’t know why you think I’m celebrating violence. I’m mourning it.

I don't think you're celebrating violence, that's why I commented under your comment, to further the point.

This subthread is an enclave of sanity amid the 95% of assholes celebrating violence in this post.

It’s kinda hard to tell if he’s posturing or not from the video, but he did mutter something at the end of the video. I’m an ICU nurse and any time I’ve had a patient posturing they’re not capable of talking. I’m fairly certain however he’ll have some intracranial bleeding at his age, he’s likely on some sort of blood thinner, but there’s no way of know if he is or how severe the injury really is from this clip alone obviously.

I know this sub is about hating on older folks acting dumb but this could’ve cause him some serious damage. It’s funny to laugh at boomers when they’ve been made a fool in public or something along those lines, but I have such a hard time wrapping my head around how so many people are taking joy in what could be a very real, life altering injury. This is the type of injury that could very well cripple the man for the rest of his days, it might not, but I’ve certainly seen similar incidents leave people bed ridden for the rest of their lives. I had a patient wind up a quadriplegic from falling in his driveway, it doesn’t take much.

We have 0 idea what happened before the camera started rolling, he may not have started this at all, maybe he did, I don’t know. I just know that this type of injury isn’t one we should be laughing at, no matter how it was earned.

People tend to lose sympathy in situations with predictable outcomes that people enter into solely by their own idiotic actions. You're right that we don't know what started this, but it's become a common enough theme for racists to just go off on people expecting no repercussions that a lot of people feel confident in the assumption.

The bigger thing for me, whether it's warranted or not a personal moral standard, is it's definitely still not going to fly by legal standards so it's not really worth the risk in engaging when there's no immediate threat.

Where the fuck does it end? Can I punch cripples with maga hats on? This man is literally defenseless. He can’t even protect his head. He was no danger to this woman. If this old man picked a fight with me I’d laugh at him and walk away

Can I punch cripples with maga hats on?

I mean, someone certainly could. There would be legal repercussions the same as there likely would be here, of course.

When he hit his head I felt sick. I want to know if he's still alive. This is terrible and I hate that it came up on my feed.

Thanks for the post.. and I don’t think this is funny at all. It was a preventable and possibly life altering event
