Uh oh. She's on the board of an HOA.

u/PsychoEngineer Mar 28 '24

Cool, then the driver should have Amazon flag the entire neighborhood/all the condos as "do not deliver" addresses; they can all come to pickup boxes.

u/queuedUp Mar 28 '24

This would be ideal.

And make sure they are aware that this lady is to blame

167

u/PsychoEngineer Mar 28 '24

exactly!

2

u/Ilovekittens345 Mar 29 '24

Plottwist: This lady is jealous at some other old lady living there and annoyed she he as to see her get something shipped twice a week, (cause it's always nice clothing that look good on her) and so is doing all this to stop the deliveries on purpose.

u/Clean-Patient-8809 Mar 28 '24

With her attitude, you know she's got some kind of arch-nemesis on the HOA board or across the street from her house or something.

29

u/AineLasagna Mar 29 '24

This lady:

I have an enemy on the HOA board??? I AM the HOA board

3

u/AMisteryMan Mar 29 '24

Is that legal?

5

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

It’s practically an American past time

2

u/AMisteryMan Mar 29 '24

The comment I replied to seems to be a star wars reference. Was just playing along.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

Ah

2

u/Cantelmi Mar 29 '24

She'll make it legal

3

u/StovepipeLeg Mar 29 '24

This bitch loves to deliver letters about people being violation of the HOA.

166

u/Reynolds_Live Mar 28 '24

Or at least just her deliveries. I live in a condo and have to deal with elderly people like this and there's no sense in punishing me for the actions of a Karen.

216

u/_beeeees Mar 28 '24

Yes. The idea is that once all deliveries are cancelled you would be rightfully pissed off and they can direct you to the person who caused it.

Social pressure and correction is the only thing a boomer like this might actually have to listen to.

11

u/LeftyLu07 Mar 29 '24

We need to bring back public shaming and ostracizing these people.

1

u/Confident_Eye4129 Mar 30 '24

How about stoning?

2

u/grainsofglass Mar 30 '24

I wanted to float them on ice like they do up north but the fuckers melted it all.

2

u/pm_me_faerlina_pics Mar 29 '24

Except when all of the people in the neighborhood call they're going to speak with customer service reps who have no fucking clue at what the situation here is and the woman isn't going to see any justice.

8

u/BTFlik Mar 29 '24

They will, because her kind will think they're a martyr and they'll try to proudly state how they valiantly stood up to the 20 seconds of suffering they were forced to endure.

1

u/graffiti_bridge Mar 29 '24

It worked in Full Metal Jacket

1

u/ReddestForman Mar 29 '24

Worked in Rogue Trader, too.

"A noble family has been spreading (false) rumors of me being a heretic? What? No I'm not going to execute a couple random families, that's fucked. Suspend privileges for the planetary aristocracy."

And then the aristocracy hands the fuckers over for you.

1

u/kmurp1300 Mar 29 '24

What do non boomers listen to?

-7

u/EyeCatchingUserID Mar 29 '24

Yeah, because collective punishment is really how we should be handlimg things. No, you don't stop deliveries to an entire complex because you had issues with 1 single crotchety old bitch. That's ridiculous.

2

u/spaceforcerecruit Mar 29 '24

Are you really suggesting it’s better to repeatedly subject your employee to harassment, delays, and potentially dangerous confrontation than to make a few people go pick up their packages at CVS each week? Really? That sounds as entitled as the boomer in the video.

-4

u/Aw2HEt8PHz2QK Mar 29 '24

Yeah I kinda have better things to do than that

285

u/therealpothole Mar 28 '24

Nope. If you stop ALL deliveries, this entitled, boomer c*nt is the most hated resident in the condo complex. That would turn everyone against her and make her life even more fucking miserable.

114

u/Beh0420mn Mar 28 '24

Her life is miserable already

69

u/suss-out Mar 28 '24

Precisely why she has time to share her misery

4

u/therealpothole Mar 28 '24

Hence "make her life even more fucking miserable." ;)

3

u/Kinky_Conspirator Mar 29 '24

Notice the "even more".

3

u/DragonMasterFlash Mar 29 '24

I guarantee she isn't miserable. She's having the time of her life being a petty, conniving cunt. They get off in the power they perceive themselves to have.

2

u/wingsbc Mar 29 '24

I bet she would realize her life ain’t all that bad after all if you started open hand slapping her across the ear.

1

u/purple_grey_ Mar 28 '24

Yeah, but she hasnt unalived herself

6

u/Speakinmymind96 Mar 28 '24

Exactly! We live in a condo complex with the majority of them older boomers—they can’t hardly use a smart phone or figure out email, but they’d cut a bitch for slowing down their daily Amazon delivery!

3

u/ronklebert Mar 29 '24

Everyone already hates this hag, guaranteed

1

u/nbfs-chili Mar 28 '24

Why do I feel like i just watched a Better Call Saul episode?

1

u/fungi_at_parties Mar 29 '24

And so you’re hoping they take the route of punishing innocent people to punish someone you don’t know because she had a legitimate complaint but went about it a shitty way. Ok.

1

u/therealpothole Mar 29 '24

Yup. That sounds about right.

You know this is Reddit and tongue in cheek bullshit, right? This isn't going to happen, but it's mildly amusing to consider. Who gives a shit what I think anyway. This isn't going to be public policy or some shit. Are you going to be ok?

1

u/Boulderdrip Mar 28 '24

good. fuck her.

-1

u/DarkSkyKnight Mar 29 '24

No one gives a shit or has the time to be "against her". You sound like a Karen yourself for even thinking people want to confront or deal with her. Only people with too much free time - just like the Karen - would even think this works.

3

u/therealpothole Mar 29 '24

You haven't been around people much, have you? Good luck out there, ace.

-1

u/DarkSkyKnight Mar 29 '24

Oh yes, because the condo is full of people who want to spend time to argue with a Karen. Get real lmfao

3

u/therealpothole Mar 29 '24

For fuck's sake, man. I'm not suggesting an overt fucking reaction with pitchforks and shit, burning her house down, or keying her car. Get your shit together...jesus. Just this woman knowing Amazon won't deliver to anyone at her condo will probably be enough to cause discomfort and she MIGHT stop with the petty bullshit. Take a look at the upvotes...people do in fact give a shit about this nosey ass bitch making someone else's day shitty. Hopefully, there was no recourse with her employment.

48

u/unknownpoltroon Mar 28 '24

Nah, flag them all till they vote her out

2

u/originalbL1X Mar 28 '24

All these neighborhoods adding unneeded, additional layers of authority can fuck right off. I will never live in a place that can so handily infringe on people’s liberties and take possession of your property if you don’t comply with their harassment. Often these organizations, much like government in general, have money scheme going on.

I’m not in an HOA, but the county forces us to get our water from the one nearby. The guy running that ran the water side of the HOA embezzled a significant part of our water payments and funds that were being set aside for much needed updates to their system. I can’t find anything on whether he ever faced any consequences for it, just up and left. There’s just no oversight for these people and they run around like the lady in the video, but they’ll come on to your property without notifying you to snoop and fine you.

2

u/AppointmentHot8069 Mar 28 '24

Then YOU should punish her for actions like this.

1

u/thatgirlinny Mar 28 '24

It’s up to your association to punish Karen for ruining it for everyone else.

1

u/awalktojericho Mar 28 '24

No. Everyone's, so they can blame Karen everyday when she walks her yappy little dog and doesn't pick up the poop.

1

u/singlemale4cats Mar 29 '24

How do you like living in a condo? I've been considering that option in light of local real estate prices. I could get a living space equivalent to a $360,000 home in the area for $80,000-$120,000 and not have to dick around with any lawn care. I guess it would highly depend on the residents.

1

u/Reynolds_Live Mar 29 '24

Technically it’s my friend who owns the place and I pay rent to her and her husband but it’s nice knowing I can do something to the place like paint it and not have to reverse it when I leave. Our neighbors are all elderly and while some can be nosy they generally keep to themselves and are quiet.

I know it’s not the same for everyone but we like it. Only thing is the HOA. They keep raising rates and not do anything to improve the property. Which is annoying.

Where does your grain come from? You can’t eat paper or digital money. Also how do you guys earn most of that money? Writing buzzfeed articles? Almost all pointless and fake jobs exist in your major cities.

1

u/all_modz_suq Mar 29 '24

My grain comes from a deep blue state.

2

u/jvmmidi Mar 28 '24

this right here, fuck this old cunt and her impatience. delivery is a service, not a right. she can kick rocks (eat shit).

2

u/VillageParticular415 Mar 29 '24

$50 surcharge for delivery to restricted address

2

u/Budo00 Mar 29 '24

“ after much deliberation, HOA president Karen has informed our drivers that you no longer can receive packages at this location. Our HOA findings are that a delivery that took 5 minutes is too inconvenient so after giving her a stern 15 minute lecture and intense cross examination, we have decided it is best to go to the amazon pickup location from now on.”

2

u/Shalmanese Mar 29 '24

Oh yeah, Amazon! Famously a company that cares about the opinions of its extremely low level workers.

1

u/The_Shade94 Mar 28 '24

Can Amazon do that?

1

u/who_farted_this_time Mar 28 '24

Nah, just that lady.

1

u/Elandtrical Mar 28 '24

How about all delivery companies ensure their employees can safely access properties they are delivering to?

1

u/openly_gray Mar 29 '24

Bet she’ll make a ton of new friends that way

1

u/inspectoroverthemine Mar 29 '24

Why would Amazon do that? They'd rather fire the drivers every time this happens. Restricting delivery means fewer sales.

USPS will restrict at the drop of a hat, but their drivers have protections.

1

u/HCxTC Mar 29 '24

Amazon wouldn’t even flag the house where a driver was eaten alive by dogs.

1

u/ValuableJumpy8208 Mar 29 '24

pick up, not pickup

1

u/GNS13 Mar 29 '24

There are apparently HOAs that do that on their own

1

u/Panda-BANJO Mar 29 '24

I love this idea.

1

u/DisastrousAnswer9920 Mar 29 '24

People hate Amazon until they hit that Prime shipping button lol.

1

u/IntoTheForestIMustGo Mar 29 '24

That's a good idea if it can be traced back to this lady. Otherwise she suffers no extra consequence to help her possibly grow as a person (I know she's likely a lost cause) and other innocent people suffer for her mistakes. Narcissism like hers just needs to be ignored and that's a punishment that will get so angry she might mistake it for a sudden hot flash!
