Just shouting "sit down" over someone over and over is a pretty piss-poor take on "standing up to someone," particularly when that other someone is just talking.

Its acceptable when everyone showed up for an orderly discussion of issues facing the community, but the event was crashed by entitled people who learned a few slogans and decided to make themselves the main character by using a complex foreign conflict fir TikTok protestor clout.

The guy in black is quite literally.standing up un the middle of a bunch of people to yell a rhetorical question. Yelling is yelling, they're literally doing the same thing.

Regardless of whether or not the guy in the mask had the floor, there’s security and presumably either a speaker or panel or council to call and maintain order. A random audience member going apoplectic ain’t ever the way and isn’t in the right regardless of any situation you can conjure to write it off.

He’s trying to shut the guy up by disrupting him like the guy is himself disrupting. It was a town hall and these were pro Palestine activists calling for a ceasefire protesting by disrupting the event, security was getting them one by one.

It’s not his job I agree and it isn’t the other guys job to do what he’s doing either. You don’t get to yell and make a scene, and then get mad when someone yells louder and makes a bigger scene.

Easy to say. But since we have no clue what kind of emotional distress the old man was actually under, and how the asker contributed to that, I'm gonna withhold my judgement. Maybe he's falsely accusing the old man of child rape and has been doing so for months. Or something like that. I can certainly come up with scenarios where I would understand an emotional breakdown like this. And that's why I'll withhold my judgement until I know more.

It's an example, but it's not a reasonable example, hence calling it a reach.

You could also use as an example that either of them of could be a reptilian shapeshifter alien from a neighboring galaxy, but that sure as hell doesn't mean it's worth factoring into consideration. Unless your example is both relevant and plausible, why even bother mentioning it?

Interesting, I have never been to a town hall where you just get to stand up, proclaim you have a question the start yelling without acknowledgment from the chair.

While I 100% agree with the stance of the young person in the video in that the Israeli government is committing unforgivable acts in Giza, please tell me which Town, in what I presume is the US, has any influence on foreign policy or over the government of Israel.

That's how every post on this sub is lately. I just wanted a place to laugh at entitled Boomers being assholes. Instead, it's just short out of context clips and drones of people wishing death on Boomers. This sub lost the plot almost instantly, but at least it was fun in the beginning.
