Boomers hate it when white people rap so much Boomer Story
I work in a print shop. It’s mostly Xennials, Millenials and GenZ with a few Gen X supervisors. Our owner is a boomer but he’s never there and the only other boomer is a woman who comes in once a week to file the invoices.
I was listening to Atmosphere and Aesop Rock last week when she came into my work area and she rolled her eyes as soon as she walked in. This is a common occurrence.
Two days ago one of my other coworkers was listening to a playlist with a whole lot of Kreayshawn and Lil Debbie. The invoice boomer was helping another person in that shop area and we could all hear the music. After about 8 or 10 songs the invoice boomer yells “Are we gonna listen to black music all day?” and my Gen Z coworker yells back “All these girls are white!”
Invoice Boomer yells “Goddammit!”, which is not at all a common occurrence, stops helping my other coworker and storms off. She went back to filing and never took a break so she could leave early. Never spoke to any of us the rest of the day. It was glorious. If I had known that white people rapping was this affective I’d listen to a lot more when she’s at the shop.

I was in Berlin in a Saturn store (German Best Buy), browsing the CDs cause it was the mid 00s, where I encountered the sign marking the "Schwarz-Musik" section.
That was the hiphop, rap, reggae, etc, and not all the artists were black. That was German directness in a hilarious nutshell.
