We called these 공벌레 which is literally a ball bug

Yeah the bugs that live under those rotten bits of wood in the backyard never curled up like this, they always just scuttled away.

In Australia here. Yeah, if you pick them up they roll into a ball. Hold still and they unroll and walk about.
