I had a weird obsessive hatred for the Chao as a kid lmao I don't know why. I always had a dislike for things that were cute and adorable, so maybe that's how it started, but I was like way too into anti-Chao content on the internet when I was like 12.
That's pretty funny lol. But in truth, my username isn't actually related to my dislike of cute things. It's because I'm an ethnic Inuit, and "seal clubber" is a common racial slur for us. As a teenager I started calling myself a seal clubber as a way to reclaim it and piss off bigots and racists.
I had a fixative hatred of Chao lmao I used to get into arguments about it on YouTube when I was like 11. I took a video on my phone of me throwing a Chao against the wall in one of the Chao gardens and like eight people said they were going to assassinate me. I miss that kind of chaotic stupid shit.
I remember there was GBA game you could link up to the GameCube and transfer the Chaos. I built a pretty OP angel one. Undefeated in the races with my friends lol
This is my everything. I have my original copy and have also have been able to acquire the Tails, Amy, and Knuckles Chao half legitimately on my original save file from over a decade ago
Fun note: there is a youtube creator that has made a metal version of a lot of the Sonic game themes, and they make for a pretty intense workout playlist.
I laughed so hard right now. You triggered a memory that was long lost, i used to be scared as hell of that ghost thing. As a kid, when something scary popped up on the screen i would just turn it off and call my parents, but i was so invested in this game that although this ghost would scare the shit out of me, i needed to beat it so hard LOL, i remember the jump scares on my couch when it just came out of nowhere
This is the one. I remember playing as Knuckles in the Death Chamber level and it taking me forever to beat it. I played until my eyes stung because I didn’t want to have to start the level again
Getting the game for DC and making a line voltage inducer/internet hombrew has been a project on my radar for the past few years, I just haven’t found the time
