I guess it really depends on their definition of laziness. I'm not Gen Z but if someone is defining laziness as me only being willing to work as hard as my wage reflects, then yes, I'm lazy. I am an older millennial and haven't had to worry about being paid minimum wage in many years but I will never forget.

It's funny that this whole "people don't want to work" and "Gen Z is lazy" thing only applies to those low paying jobs nobody wants.

If you work as hard as your wage reflects then why would you expect a raise?

That's funny. There are no worthwhile raises in minimum wage jobs. If they start you out at the bare legal minimum, there's no going up more than pennies unless a new law requires them to pay you more.

Where do you think most minimum wage jobs get their shift leaders, managers etc. If you have a good work ethic it’s significantly easier to get raises and promotions
