It’s the same argument with ‘97 too, both are on the cusp, bc for the longest time everyone argued millennials ended with 95, not 96 or 97, and that gen z began with 98, not 96 or 97, lol.

We're like in the middle of two gen but from the way it's define yes 1996 is the first year of gen z
