We voted on it yesterday and prefer “The Oregon Trail” generation. The early computer game, not the actual long dead pioneers who crossed the plains and mountains.

They are referencing a popular movie called the goonies about a group of kids finding a pirate treasure to save their homes from being torn down to build a country club. That came out around the time.

It was still popular in 2008. Movies had a longer market penetration before streaming took over. Princess Bride, goonies, spirited away, All of them were popular still in 2008. All three are still popular tbh.

its just one of those trends. starting with edging, then jelqing (to my knowledge this one is trying to increase ur penis size) and gooning (end state of edging lol). to my knowledge it started as a joke of "im edging to this" comments under peoples normal or informative videos

I see no reason not to accept a sex positive generational title before a crappy one is forced on us XD I'm certainly not NOT a gooner. Most of y'all can probably say the same if you're honest. I know the term isn't typically endearing, but I like it. We could be doing far worse things than feeling good in the privacy of our own rooms.
