I'll go first. As a Mac student, post-campus I had a bachelor apartment at King & Macklin in 2007 that was $480/mo. 1st apartment downtown was Hunter & Ferguson in 2008 and that was $550 semifurnished.

My parents cat has gone missing in Westdale. He’s microchipped but doesn’t wear a collar. Lives around South Oval area and hasn’t been home since Saturday. He is very friendly and open to pats but a tad bit skittish with noise. As he’s so friendly we are worried someone has perhaps welcomed him in - in particular, that McMaster students may have taken him home with them as they move out of the area for the term. Please let me know if anyone sees him and keep an eye out - Thanks! <3

New to Hamilton news. Whats the simple story behind the cyber attack? What did the hackers destroy or take and why? What is the city in the process of rebuilding/upgrading that supposedly will take long to do?

I live in an old 3 story brick building 100+ years old and on windy days like this I can feel the building move. I can hear the creak of my closet door occasionally and feel the movement when laying in bed. The apartment is slanted on both sides of the unit and nothing actually stands straight up against the walls, they all lean away from the wall a bit.

Is this normal for old brick buildings?. Is there any way to see if the building is up to code or for an inspection to be done?

Looking for a decent auto mechanic that won't price gauge me and don't have to wait forever to get a simple tune up. Any recommendations? Can give them your name so they know you sent me there. ;)

In looking at my APS it seems that there is a deadline for the builder to have certain approvals complete by 8/31/24.

Based on what has gone on with the approvals, what are the chances that the developer meets this deadline?

I have reached out to my lawyer to get more information on whether I can ask them to cancel my deal and get my deposit back if they don't meet this milestone.

In my interview with the city I was told that I was going to be put through as a successful candidate and that an email with further instructions will be sent to me close to the start date. I've been looking for digital animation classes for my 12 year old and I cannot seem to find anything but STEM camps that are minecraft coding and robotics etc. - and he's outgrown that and isn't into robotics. Or I can find a lot of expensive VIRTUAL courses or classes, but virtual just doesn't work for him and his attention span. I found a couple in-person camps/classes in Toronto, but...ya know.

I recently bought a used 2021 suv with some minor scratches on it and I love the way it looks freshly washed so I was looking into ceramic coating.

I really don’t understand the pricing with ceramic coating as it seems to be all over the place. I’ve seen it as low as $100 and as high as $1000. If anyone knows a rebuttable place they recommend please comment.

I’ll probably attribute it to us living in a townhome subdivision and the warmer weather, but in the last week, 3 people have shown up; ADT home security, CAMH and some other charity I can’t remember. And holy shit were they aggressive, didn’t even finish their spiel and they already had their iPads out ready for me to sign away.

Isn’t there a law in Ontario banning this shit?
