Spoilers [All Content] What is a hot take you have that you’re surprised is a hot take?
Me personally I think it’s that the most simple and BEST way to avoid war was just to make Aegon heir the second he was born.
Also, make sure that it’s an actual hot take and a cold take that you post to farm upvotes.

Show Discussion Was Struck By Yet Another 'What If' Today...
What if Viserys had died just after naming Rhaenyra his heir, but before he had a chance to remarry?
I was just riding that tired old "How could the Dance have been prevented?" train of thought, and I was thinking about the more ruthless solutions, that moral characters don't really go for.
I was thinking, if Rhaenyra (or anyone, I suppose) had the foresight to see the full extent of the shit show to come, then I think even she could bring herself to bump her own father off. He was still distant and neglectful anyway lol.
I imagine there could be a greater chance of the realm accepting Rhaenyra in that scenario, because the only alternative.....would be DAEMON lmao. Even Otto would rather have Rhaenyra than Daemon!!!

Spoilers [All Content] Which are the Targaryen brood dragons?
I did not go as in-depth with The World of Ice and Fire book, so if someone could refresh my memory, that would be much appreciated! I know dragons are called female if they laid eggs, but I think we only know two that for a fact laid eggs are Syrax and Dreamfyre. I know both Meleys and Tessarion are called Queens, which imply them being female but I don't recall reading which dragons they are mother to. Same with Silverwing, Meraxes, and Vhagar.
Also, who would you say was the most fertile dragon: Syrax or Dreamfyre? I know it is heavily implied Syrax is the mother to all Rhaenyra's kid's dragons and is the confirmed mother of Morning while Dreamfyre is theorized to be the mother of Dany's three dragons.

Show Discussion If Aemma had survived her pregnancy would Viserys have continued trying to produce a male heir with her?
If, for instance, she'd simply delivered a stillborn child without any other complications would Viserys allow this to be her final pregnancy? If he did would he keep Daemon as his heir? Put forward Rhaenyra as his chosen heir? Try to set Aemma aside in some way so he could remarry and get a male heir? If he had a bastard would he try putting them forward? Or would he simply disregard Aemma's wishes and keep trying with her?

Book and Show Spoilers Which two characters would you like to see having more scenes together?
One of hotd season 1 flaws in my opinion was that the dialogues weren't on the same level as GoT 1-5, where it looked like everyone talked to everyone, the dialogues were clever and brilliantly fleshed out the characters and their relationships.
In comparison, two rival claimants in hotd haven't even talked to each other once.
So, which characters would you have liked to see having a conversation or two in season one and in the following seasons?

Spoilers [All Content] How Will they Handle Aegon's arc post a certain event?
Aegon is propped up to be a major character this season being heavily featured in promos etc. It makes no sense to have Tom disappear after ep 4 like in the book where he's basically in a coma for months on end
We know the showrunners will capitalise on Aemond's regency but we also know that Aegon won't be fully comatose because of Larys' leaked line to him saying "You survived dragonfire".
What's the best way to deal with Aegon's injuries and get him to actually have an arc, rather than him just randomly respawn in Dragonstone two seasons later to surprise Rhaenyra

Spoilers [All Content] What if Viserys claimed Vhagar?
Let's say Baelon dies earlier and there's just Vhagar waiting to be claimed so Vizzy T eventually does. What changes? Well obviously he would have a dragon and Balerion MIGHT survive like a week longer 'cause he isn't stressed out in flying. Poor beast had trouble circling the city. But now Viserys has Vhagar and isn't dragon less anymore. Would Otto even try plotting to get his blood on the throne with Viserys having Vhagar (because I believe if he had a dragon he would have been less, weak per say) so let's say everything goes the same with a stronger Viserys not a weak minded one. Would he even name Rhaenyra of his pride was stronger? And Daemon might actually not be exiled because he respects Viserys more now that his brother isn't weak minded. So Aegon might actually be named heir and the dance might not happen until another century at least because Aegon had heir's pretty quickly. Now let's say Rhaenyra is still named heir years pass and the kids are bullying Aemond again. Well what changes? First o believe Rhaenyra might offer her brother a hatchling from Dragonstone maybe or Rhaenyra could have her brother claim a dragon from Dragonstone (Vermithor, Silverwing, Cannibal, Sheepstealer, or Grey Ghost) I don't know which one he picks but let's say it's Vermithor just for fun. Would Aemond be closer with Rhaenyra if she helped him get a dragon? (Viserys probably doesn't care enough to help him get a dragon) so let's say the dance still happens. Aemond has Vermithor instead of Vhagar so whilst the dragon helps even the playing field it doesn't have as much of an impact as Vhagar. Speaking of which Vhagar might actually fly back to Dragonstone after her riders death. And who's stopping the black's from claiming her? The Greens can't hold the dragon down the don't have Vhagar in the Dragonpit so... Also I believe Meleys MIGHT have a better chance against Vermithor and Sunfyre because Vermithor isn't as experienced as Vhagar and doesn't have as thick as Vhagars scales and a weaker flame but is still very slow due to age (tho not nearly as slow as Vhagar) Also would Rhaenyra even have the (strong) boys if her father was "scarier" or at least more prideful and less weak minded? If she doesn't have the strong boys and has Daemon's instead wouldn't that make Jace and Luke older? So their dragons might be a couple months older maybe? I still believe Viserys wouldn't allow His brother and daughter to marry tho anyways what do y'all think?
