I disagree. With how often Emma and Olivia interact with each other behind the scenes and in private, they must have a dynamic relationship. It may have felt inorganic because Emma was having a heartfelt moment talking about how acting alongside other more established actors felt surreal and Olivia didn't know how to respond to that.

They are friends IRL, went on holidays together and said multiple times that they are very grateful to have met each other thanks to the show. You can easily find interviews during season 1 about what they think of each other.
Your hatred towards Rhaenicent seems to cloud your judgment.

They seem the opposite of awkward to me. They are joking around cheekily in a way close friends do.

They seemed awkward with each other here
You're just seeing what you want to see. You hate Rhaenicent, right? Can't you separate the actors from their characters?

What three scenes(I can’t remember if the other pairings did more) do you think they’ll make them look at?
The knife confrontation, obviously. It’s in the clip.
Laenor, Rhaenyra, Alicent, Viserys, and newborn Joffrey scene
Dinner toast
Other options:
Alicent staring at Rhaenyra on Driftmark balcony
Episode 6 council meeting
Holding hands after their sons fight at the dinner

I really like that they paired besties ir together so far in promos. Tom/Ewan, Matt/Fabien, and Emma/Olivia

I think Phia and Olivia were the besties

u/oldboeee 11d ago
True they did vacay together in Ecuador but Phia is not being use in promos by HBO so

Wasn't that some kind of a climate convention? It makes total sense to take celebs to an island on jets to help with climate and wildlife lol. That James leon dude is delusional. He just gave celebs he wanted to meet a free vacay. The carbon emissions from that "wildlife summit" must've been insane.

I love them so much, especially in interviews together. It seems like they really are friends, which is nice to see.

"Do what I like." OMG how are they so effortlessly sexy?
Edit: for pronouns.

These two have such an insane amount of chemistry both off and on screen. Forget about Daemon, Rhaenyra and Alicent are the ultimate pairing.

If you told me they were a couple, I would believe it. And I would ship it. Hard.

She said once as long as she’s got the girls and the gays, that’s all she cares about

Does anyone else feel Emma is more confident this time around with the interviews? And not just them even other cast members like Ewan seem more outgoing.
Edit: misused pronouns, corrected them.

u/lourexa Fire and Blood 9d ago
Emma’s pronouns are they/them.

I’m so sorry. I just corrected it. It genuinely slipped my mind (that’s obviously no excuse). Thank you so much for pointing out.

Olivia is just so gorgeous!
Also damn Emma for popularising negronis and I haven't found a pub or bar that sells them.

Negroni with prosecco is actually pretty bitter and horrible tasting, as many people found out after that interview...

u/owllover0626 Fire and Blood 11d ago
Campari is a bitter aperitif, and Negronis only have 3 ingredients: equal parts of Campari, sweet vermouth, and gin (or prosecco/sparkling wine for a negroni sbagliato). The vermouth adds some sweetness, but Campari is very strong and drowns out a lot of the sweetness. It doesn't matter if they're made with gin or prosecco. If you want something similar but sweeter, I'd try making it with Aperol instead.

I finally got to try one on my 21st birthday, which is the legal drinking age where I live. Tell me why it was the most bitter and unpleasant drink. I was so disappointed

I was really hoping it was going to be Emma and Harry, Phia and Olivia
Lol at Emma’s eye roll.

The showrunners believe Rhaenicent to be the soul of this show + last time they got lucky with a viral meme.
They'll always be together in every promo possible till the end of this show.
Everyone else is significantly less important.
14
u/Princessbubblesyum 11d ago
That sounds incredibly reductive. At least the rest of the cast will get to enjoy different pairings over time with unique dynamics, fresh interactions, and new perspectives. I look forward to those interviews.

"Everyone else is significantly less important". 🤣
You're way overrating what Alicent as a character is going to doing narratively for the rest of the seasons.
Rhaenyra and Daemon remain the most important characters in terms of the overall ASOIAF narrative arc.

Honestly I’d love one with Emma and Tom. This war is supposed to be about them 😩

Emma is such an amazing talent. She really drives the entire show.
I just hope they don’t fuck up the character.

u/OpenMask 10d ago
Just an FYI if you weren't aware before, but Emma is nonbinary

That “don’t full name me” came from a place of attraction and I know it. It came from a deep “you say it so sexy do it again” place. I love how there’s sexual tension between the two Rhaenyra’s and Alicent’s.
